Andy, looking at your leccy usage figures on Wattson:eek: I'd use it to knock some sense into your lodger:mad:
0.57 O's here today:D
Edit.Well your case isn't resting very well.
Just got home, first thing I did was compare the generation meter to the invertor.
So the numbers are: Generation meter: 14160 kWh. Inv: 14114 kWh.
That's not even a 0.5% dicrepency, is it? If anyone care to do the maths and the invertor is under reading, not over reading in any case.
Wattson must be fibbing then:)16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -

Ah, he's not been here this weekend, neither was I - the consumption is because the cats insisted I left the heating on

My Wattson is at least 10% out, sometimes a lot more, can't find any way of fixing it. Some nights for no reason at all it starts recording generation - in the night!0 -

I've adjusted my voltage settings up/down in Holmes to make Wattson more accurate.
I find on days of low generation Wattson is slightly higher, and high generation days it is the reverse:)16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -

Yes, it's likely a voltage issue here. It does vary between 225v and 250v, we've even had blackouts caused by overvoltage when the grid voltage has exceeded 256v several times.0 -
2.3 O's yesterday and another 1.55 O's today(SSW only), good job really with the piles of washing we had, its a never ending cycle with 2 young kids.
At least I avoided the spoon2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0 -

Looked at what’s going on today regarding Wattson / Inverter / Generation Meter; here are some findings: (Not that I am obsessed with Solar)
This morning Inverter kicked in, showing it had done 1 kWh today. Inverter still read the same as it did last night. At 09:45, Gen Meter was showing 0.20 kWh, Inverter 1.2 kWh (+83%). At 13:15, Gen Meter was 2.2 kWh, Inverter 3.3 kWh (+33.3%). At 16:15, Gen Meter was 4.2 kWh , Inverter 5.3 kWh (+20.7%).
So, if today had been a worse day than it turned out, and reading was taken from Inverter, it could have been exaggerated by anything between +20.7% - +83% depending on how bad the day was.
During the 3 yrs 2 months that I have had the system the Gen Meter has registered 7,812 kWh, compared to the Inverters figure of 8,020 kWh. (Inverter being 2.6% higher).
Doing a similar comparison with Wattson over a 2 year period: (as I have only had it since 24th November 2012) Wattson is 2.7% under the Gen Meter numbers. The Wattson I have, would appear to under record during the winter period, then over record in the summer; but gets pretty close over a longer period of time. Part of the reason is that the unit I have, records 0.067 kWh as soon as the Inverter starts and does the same once output has dropped less than 0.067 kWh until the Inverter shuts down. This delay in getting over the 0.067 kWh is increased during the winter months or very cloudy days.
Anyway, back to the office: 1.68 O’s Today. Wattson at Home made it 1.608 O’s ( - 4.2%). If the day had been longer and sunnier, this difference would have been less.
All can see on http://wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/oscarsenergy ......2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
Back today after a few computer problems. 1.39 O's today. Standing at 75% PVGIS, the same as the correspondent above. Fitted the light bulb to the iBoost. Yes, the bulb does flash upon export (as I was warned) so I cannot install in that state in a visible position: will annoy the family. I will need an alternative solution.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".0

Today was a bright start then hazy, but still pulled in 5.394 kWh / 1.35 ho's, so not bad considering.
Sitting at 93.99% of Jan PVGIS, so need to rustle up 6.3 kWh to beat the target.
Weather looks rubbish for the remainder of the month, might struggle to make that ho and a bit4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
