Sometimes mine does not zero and adds two days together, hmmm, might start using it when it does. Hope Andy has a good source for wooden spoons; he may well need them.....smiley-laughing021.gif....:eek::eek::eek:...chaplin.gif

Mine normally reads about 0.5-1% lower, but I'd never post readings from the inverter, only the generation meter. 2.62 Os today.

OMG, you could be giving wrong readings then! My Inverter is often way out from my Gen. Meter. I will post the morrow what my inverter reckons I've done, compared to GM.....:D...coffee.gif
Read my signature on O's; dear oh dear....;)....:rotfl:

Nope, the invertor is slightly slower than the generation meter, but it's not even 1% different over 3 years.

Absolutely no way I can read the meter at the moment anyway, it's hundreds of miles away :D

    :D

Can you not realign the inverter reading to match actual generation?

I check my SMA inverter reading and correct it monthly:)

Probably if I had the patience, but it would only mean I'm 1% less likely to get that pesky spoon every day ;)

I do read the generation meter monthly and store the readings on a spreadsheet which is how I know the inverter readings is so close as to not be a worry.

Think I know what you mean; bit like percentage pay rises: 1% of 200,000.00p a year is 2,000.00. extra. 1% of 0 O's is still zero. Can't understand why people work on % rather than £. to each employee - guess that's why the big divide is growing bigger.....and bigger......and.....coffee.gif

    I rest my case.....:D..coffee.gif

0.63 O's today. Think the sun was visable for all of 15 mins, late in the day. Forecast has clouds for the rest of the week. Lets hope its wrong.

Well your case isn't resting very well.

Just got home, first thing I did was compare the generation meter to the invertor.

So the numbers are: Generation meter: 14160 kWh. Inv: 14114 kWh.

That's not even a 0.5% dicrepanacy, is it? If anyone care to do the maths and the invertor is under reading, not over reading in any case.

Have today checked my Inverter, Generation meter and SolarEdge dashboard. Total production figures are all different! All within 1% The one I use to post here is the dashboard one. The Inverter and Generation Meter are both in the garage.

The one that we get paid on is the one that matters! The one with the most decimal points is in the biggest one and that the one I use here.

    0.99 O's :undecided

I was fully expecting the spoon today as every time the sun came out it was behind one of the 3 tree trunks! It was also a very late start.

Still, it's another 4kWh in the bag towards January's PVGIS - now at 75%.
