System is just in it's dying throws now as the last few electrons are sucked out of the fading light.

Not before I hit half a Hawaii today though! Yay! Best day for a little while.

Broke the 100 Kwh total for the month today. Started brilliantly then the clouds appeared at 10.45. Slow then until 12.45 with production reaching a peak of 2.715 Kwh. Reasonable return until 14.00 and down to 0.278 Kwh with last recording of production at 16.00 of 0.006 Kwh.

Ended the day on 2.13 O's (8.47 Kwh)

Total for month 101.74 Kwh. 76% of PVGIS Est.smiley-cool05.gif

As we have a knowledgeable group of people that post on this thread.
I wonder if anyone can assit with this? As can be seen by my signature I have a systum monitored by Solar Edge. It prvides rather basic information of what has been produced and when. I use an electricity monitor which shows what I use at any point during the day but as far as I can see I cannot get this information onto my computer.

So what I would like to do is find a monitoring system that tells me what I generate, what I export, what I use and if so down to the point I can identify what it is used by.

I know I can go round and look at wattage to see what everything uses so I would know what was on and what I am using. Being able to show a link on here so everyone can see what I have done eachday would help.

Any suggestions of what is best would be great. Also what is required to be connect where would also help.

At the moment Solor edge has a thingy conected to my electric wire going to my meter. Also something next to the inverter for the internet. Cannot remember name of it.

  • Good for me, I think. 1.76 Os. The red light came on just as a little snow started falling. But only 48.7% of January target.
I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Do you mean like this: http://wattson.energyhive.com/dashboard/AndyW ?

I also have a display at home which shows how much is being imported or exported in real time.

Finally seen the other side of an O for January, with a mighty 1.25 Os (6.9kWh). Hooray.

Not great weather here, but has been sneaking up, with a bit more sunshine than the forecasts would have me expect.

Currently predicting 103% for January, so something must be working.

Black and White CRT TV!!! Have you looked at how much energy that uses?

I think the time may now be rife for a new TV - a good business case can be made on the energy saving alone.
Don't worry, I only watch it when generating over 1 kWh....:rotfl::rotfl:

I would agree with that comment Andy: the next good option may be a 'Loop' which also does Gas; but that will not be available in Solar Panel friendly use for three months.....:eek:

2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

That seems to be what I would be looking for. What does it involve and where can I get it?

What advice can you give. Would it effect the Solar edge monitoring that I have?
