I have East/West roof and most of the quotes I had suggested west panels. Because I work at home I have a better chance of using generated electricity on a more even basis throughout the day so I stuck out for 2k on either side. I am glad I did because consistently recently the morning generation has been 60 per cent of the entire day.

Today, I have seen it, but I don't believe it, 4.04 O's think I will flog me panels on the bay......anyone know how to wire up an inverter to a dustbin lid ? smiley-laughing021.gifcoffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

I have the same PV system as you and generated 17.9Kwh yesterday (12 x E20 PV's)- Today is 16.8kwh at 1410hrs
My system has been operating for 38days and has generated 812 kwh.- better than I originally estimated.
Prior to the installation my average electricity useage was 14/16 kw/day, now with the use of a SolarImmersion my useage has fallen to 5/6 kwh/day which has astonished me. (Our hot water has always been via Immersion)

We are 15 degree east of south and the 12 Panels are fitted on 20degree pitched patio veranda with no shading until 1730hrs. then one string beings to fall off and the other about an hour later.

Jimmyboy, What is your experience over a longer time span?

    Here's my system. http://pvoutput.org/list.jsp?sid=28021

I'm directly South East facing, so not as good as you :)

I've managed 705kWh over the last 38 days.
    3.924kWp (12X327Wp SunPower). SolarEdge SE3500 inverter.
Surrey/SE. 30 degree roof pitch, chimney shading from mid afternoon.
  • I just passed the 10MWh milestone today after about 2½ years operation, so on track to pay off the installation cost after about 6 years. Then...PROFIT!
