Errrr, back in its box ready for eb*y along with the optiplug. Found out that it's not compatible with multiple systems especially with how mine are set up. Had to buy an optismart sender for my leccy meter in conjunction with my current cost. Wife then switches something on when the import shows as zero...best I can do with what I have....shame b0422.gif

I'm no expert on electrics, but don't they all connect to the same point in your consumer fuse box? If not, then rather than the Bay, just explain the problem to your supplier of Wattson and get a full refund, or give Energeno a ring and no doubt they may give you some advice....t1943.gif

Nah, not mine. I have one of the systems wired the other side of the fuse box in between the import and box itself, it was the only place they had left to wire it into, thus causing conflicts with the wattson. Only way I can properly check is via the red flashes on the import/generation meters. believe me, the trician tried his best to work out how to connect it up but to no avail, I still believe it needs 3 sender units but according to energeno it doesn't...but then they haven't seen the set-up.

Doesn't your Wattson transmitter unit have multiple inputs ? Mine has three usage inputs (which would be automatically added together) and one generation input but I'd really have thought that if you were to put your three generation plugs into the holes designated for usage and the one usage plug into the generation hole you'd get a result that you could reverse fairly easily.

.... are any of these units 3phase ?

Our (ancient) Owl has the facility for three sensors to be connected to the transmitter ... I've not checked, but it'd probably combine two sensor readings as if they were separate phases and register the total on the monitor display ....

It does have 3 inputs yes, the problem lies with the connecting cables between the rcd and the import meter which has the WNW connected in between. That and the fact that one system is connected in the outside electric box, one the other side of the wall in the house and the last in the garage some 25 metres away. I need 3 senders to link it up to be close to the inverters.

I did bring it up with the supplier and they spoke to their supplier and assured me it would be fine....its not, how they set it up it can only monitor either the WNW alone or the ESE & SSW(less in house usage) combined, not all 3 together!

    Thanks anyway guys
