5.69 O's(36.7kWh), starting to get fed up with the lingering April showers, without them I'd have topped the 40+ mark today.

Still, better days to come and soon the solstice will be upon us, then its all down hill t120006.gif

Damn you Oscargrouch! I think I've spent most of this quarter's fit payment on gadgets.

And I blame you for causing an argument with my girlfriend. Apparently phoning her up and asking why she's not doing the ironing is not an appropriate use of this gadget:

Still, a pretty good day and the rest of the week looks awesome weather-wise.

Don't worry about it I get a similar problem when Mrs O; puts the W/M on at 09:00 cause it's sunny through the kitchen window..(kitchen window faces NNE)..

If you haven't already done so get an account with energyhive; and then you can get this different perspective...same data, with a different skin.....Bye the way; think you owe me at least one Big Mac...steak.gifhttp://www.energyhive.com/dashboard/oscarsenergy smiley-laughing021.gif

Think there may be quite a few disgruntled Scottish panel owners if that was to happen, but if that's the price of independence(paying their own FiT) who are we(south of the border) to argue....
    Hi

I think it's pretty evident that many(/most) would look to vote with their heart, not their heads on an issue such as this. Taking a pure risk analysis approach a vote for independence has so many potential downsides and the opposite is effectively a simple status-quo position, this all being evidenced by the convenient lack of full transparency on the cost of an independent state, lest it upset the head/heart balancing act for a seriously large number of undecided voters.

I know so many really 'miffed' people south of the border who are disenfranchised in this issue, but would be entitled to 'citizenship' by birth-right ... it just makes you wonder whether the outcome, whatever it may be, would be open to legal challenge on these grounds ?

Anyway, as I've no say in the matter, what will happen is entirely up to those north of the border, all that I hope for is that if a sibling leaves the family home, they accept the responsibility for the removal expenses along with the full cost of setting-up and maintaining their new household arrangement & budget, including their own FiT agreements.

A fairly healthy 12.61 kWh, 6.3 O's yesterday, looking not too bad for the next few days.

    I can't even dream of 7.5+ Os! (Well ..... I can, but it won't do any good.:o)

    Mart.

I`ve been close a few times since, 28`s/29`s but never broke the 30 again...yet. It was clear until late afternoon, so technically it could have been more. I live right on the coast so I suspect the sea breeze may possibly keep the panel temperatures down (and therefore panel efficiency up!).

I was informed about this though :-
"The ELPS CS6P-MM module, uses Canadian Solar's ELPS mono cells and metal wrap through (MWT) design to allow for more light absorption per cell. ELPS modules deliver 10% more electricity than conventional solar modules.I]citation needed[/I Their mono ELPS solar cell efficiency is 21.1%, placing it among the highest P-type mono-crystalline cell efficiencies in the industry."

But realistically, even on the very worst day we generated more than the 2.5kWh that is needed to replace the lost ISA interest and indeed the same 'test' shows that we're already in profit for 2014 with more than half the year to go.

Hi Eric, this 2.5 kWh you`ve stated....what FiT price are you basing this on?

    Cheers

Can't remember the exact figure but with export it's just short of 50p/unit

And the loss of interest was originally calculated at 4% pa on £12k As that's now dropped to nearer 1% perhaps I ought to be satisfied with 1 unit per day ?

Thanks for that. Since I got installed in Feb and my FiT is circa 14.9p, each unit for me is probably more realistically worth 17.5p (taking export in to account)....or am I missing something glaringly obvious!?
