Thanks for that. Since I got installed in Feb and my FiT is circa 14.9p, each unit for me is probably more realistically worth 17.5p (taking export in to account)....or am I missing something glaringly obvious!?

I don't think you're missing anything. Your system cost was probably a lot less than my £12k so the difference in our respective rates of return won't be quite so big as the difference in FIT payment.

Just looking back though the last few weeks.

    New record was hit on 05/06 - 30.5kw/h or 7.6 O's !

But.. it wasn't a bell curve by any means - major drop around 3pm for a good hour.

8 O's must be theoretically possible.

Cloudy morning, followed by mostly sunny afternoon = 4.725 O's or 18.9kWh:T

Boiling my (3kW) kettle today, I looked at my other half (Wattson) and noticed that she was only using 154W from the grid

    .....how good is that?:rotfl:

Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

With these Wattson`s, Geo Solo`s etc it seems really easy to become obsessed. I don`t want to be stressing about how much elec the wife`s iron`s consuming, or why she`s filled the kettle for 1 cup of tea! :) I`m just happy in the knowledge I`m generating, and comsuming, free electric during daylight hours.
Sub text - Although I know I`d love a wattson/dashboard set up I`m resisting the strong temptation to give in!

    It's not an obsession...it's worse than that:rotfl:

Mrs L is doing her bit...just put the washing on at 0830, before the sun's fully on our panels;)

What a lovely day so far. Almost hit 12kWh on the ESE so far, and a very good day (for me) is 12 by 12, so looks promising.

Yesterday was a perfect WNW day. Bit of white cloud in the morning to reflect sun down, then clear sky once the sun was on the panels. Got 12kWh, or 6 Os. Bit of back checking shows it was the 2nd best ever (got 12.1kWh last summer).

Of course 'you can't have the penny and the bun' so perfect WNW weather meant 16kWh or 4.47 Os on the ESE. Boo! ;)

Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

And it kept its promise, got an exceptionally rare (for me) 6 Os, with a lovely 33.5kWh.

Tomorrow looks just as good, and month end prediction is now a devilish 666.6kWh. :)
