Was talking to the neighbour today who's tree it is. He said its not coming down... I just have to figure out how to poison it :)

I have heard that banging in a few copper nails at base of tree is quite effective. Of course it would be strictly illegal to do that to somebody else's tree :D

Hello JK, reading the info, bottom of your post - your system is doing well, even before it gets installed.........:rotfl:
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

Today was a much better morning than yeaterday's but afternoon has been rather cloudier.

20.97 kWh so far; still generating 300w so may creep up to 21.5.

So, not as good as yesterday overall (23.41 kWh )

BUT, who says a day's output has to be measured from dawn to dusk ? If I measure from 12:20 yesterday till 12:20 today, it was 26.972 kWh. - or almost twice the daily average pvgis prediction for July. That's more like I want to see !

BTW, today we hit 3MWh total generation. Still another five weeks to go till first anniversary of SP fitting. Hoping for 34 more days like (yesterday till today) but not confident.

:exclamati That is impressive! Remind me again about the size of your system and how long you've had it. :)

Looks like the North has been getting the sun this week after the rain last. We only managed 12kWh today from a 3kWp system
Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.

I haven't got an SMA inverter - it's a Mastervolt. No graphical display, just kWh for last 30 days, which under-reads the generation meter by about 1%.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.
