Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

hi
3.59kw.. my system seems to be the worse one.
Shafeeq
Do not despair, You have to compare 'apples - apples'.
My 9.1 divided by my system of 2.5kW = 3.64
Erics 7.07 divided by his sytem = 1.76
Your 3.59 by 3kW sytem = 1.19 not too far behind Erics 4kW sytem but enough to have the weather effect both.
Hang on in there......:T Spain could be better!2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
but !!
Without storage tanks, the water would hit the turbines almost immediately and generate about half the energy just used to pump it up to roof.
On it's first run through such a system, a typical annual rainfall on a typical roof might perhaps generate 100kWh per year (saving £10 from your annual bill). Even with a 1 tonne tank filled by solar PV & emptied at night you'd only generate a further 365 kWh (saving £40 from your annual bill). If the 'investment' was to make any financial sense, saving £50 on an annual electricity bill could justify a maximumum capital cost of around £500 and I've got grave doubts that would buy the required kit.
:rotfl:OK, I will stay with the ISA system....:rotfl:2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.

It's been a dreadful few weeks since Shafeeq's system was fitted and there have been huge variations in local weather.
I'm only around 20 miles from Sheffield but know of several areas even closer than that where weather variations have been huge.
We really need a day of unbroken sunshine over the whole of the E Midlands & S Yorkshire before Oscargrouch's ratios will be really helpful. Every chance that will happen some time between now and October; little chance it will be this week :mad:NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -
I am hanging on........ it's just one of those things... as you said if not this month then next :0).
I am also waiting for Npower to register my systems for FiTs... all slow going argggg
I am waiting for them to send me the contract....

Well spotted Eric. It's always good to have a scapegoat at times like these. Maybe we should go all 'Wicker Man' on Shafeeq.
I'll get the torches, you bring the pitch forks, and Oscar can organise a mob of PV'ers who'll all tut very loudly outside Shafeeq's!
Apologies for this nonsense, but I'm succumbing to hysteria from lack of sunlight and 2 months of trying to organise a PV extension with the DNO. 20 days to go, and full re-start, from scratch. Quick tip for anyone considering an extension - don't.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Only managed 5.83kWh yesterday:mad:
Not used my boiler(for hot water) for a couple of months now:j

I'm not apportioning blame - but if I was I wouldn't target Shafeeq.
Some clown must have had a reason for moving our 'fixed Spring Bank Holiday' from May to June but I didn't & still don't see the logic. What with the so-called Jubilee holiday (should have been in February really), Queen's official birthday weekend & Trooping of Colour plus Wimblebore, June hadn't a prayer of seeing any sunshine. July may not be any better (rest of WRC and Olympics) but I'm confident of a few good days in August September and even October.NE Derbyshire.4kWp S Facing 17.5deg slope (dormer roof).24kWh of Pylontech batteries with Lux controller BEV : Hyundai Ioniq50 -

Got any trees reducing the local "brightness"?
Got any shadows (eg poles/chimneys/complicated TV aerials) tracking across any panels.0 -
