Had this tariff from EDF, finishes end of this month..:D Gone to their next cheapest until 2015; while looking for cheaper. I did not include standing charge in my costs as you cop this irrespective of what amount you use. coffee.gif

I've actually been badgering my lazy a$$ heating engineer/plumber to get me a price/see if its possible to put in a hot water tank with immersion to go with my combi boiler to max out my excess generation.............................................................................................................................................................................................................still waiting.
Hot bath every night for the kids would be better paid for by PV, really need to give the plumber a kick AGAIN

Let me know if you get any result, I am considering it using the Energeno Optimmersion....:D

    I`m guessing it`s a combi for u then??

Nope, just a straight gas boiler that does hot water only or water & C/H.

Yes you can get a tank with immersion. Spoke with my pet plumber on Tuesday when he popped round for a brew!
Our boiler is knocking 26 years, parts are very difficult to get hold of (I used to work for a boiler spares company ;) ) and it has been a constant discussion for the last 2/3 years.

We want to replace the existing boiler for a more efficient new one, lose the cylinder in the airing cupboard and put a megaflow style tank in the loft so we can reduce the size of the airing cupboard and increase the space in the en-suite that backs on to the airing cupboard! Our neighbours have done it and it looks fantastic!

Plus I'm not getting any slimmer :o
