Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

I've managed today, and I say that loosely, to generate approx 1.25 kw…not an 0, but kW...let me also say that in respect of my complaint that 6 of 14 panels are on a NNW roof face, the regulators don't inspire confidence. I was advised to cc them into correspondence re the system, then get told not to by them. They are also inundated with complaints...what does that say about repeat offending companies who potentially continue to trade, self regulating and signing off jobs? What concerns me is they , ie REAL/NICEIC, appear to gain their funding to some degree, whether that's lesser or greater I don't know, via the Companies they regulate through subscription. Bias? I don't know. I do know I wish I'd known more before I installed.0

Oscar...its over 4kw...underreported on mcs and im refusing to sign EDF fit paperwork as its fraud if I do. Installer keeps saying he stands by his figures but wont committ to paper...only verbal.

May be worth trying to have a free 1/2 chat with a solicitor...;)
1.56 O's today.....2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax:
Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
Should start a thread..talking bout my non generation!
Had a chat with journalist. Recc seem overwhelmed with 10 week delays due to volume of complaints and Im unsure of any success. Company refusing to remove a panel so stuck with lower FIT rate...lose out again....total generation as of today from 26/27.11.13 = 48.7
Again he says its the worst month, ie January, but he said that last month about December. Asked again for 6 panels on NNW to be removed. Straight no. We rowed. Not good. Says he is to fit optimisers, but he has no idea how they work and appears not to know of indops and if not indops, then straight optimisers and different inverter. He is waiting for technical support at SEGEN to offer advice. I don't feel confident that if he didn't know either a safety monitor or alternative inverter will be required that he will properly fit optimisers. You think hed eant to see the back if me and either part refind, remove it all or agree fit optimisers and if they dont meet his guaranteed generation, Ill chase him through the right channels for compensation. Its the whole lack of pre install assessment and prcess following that has led to this....had he completed a site survey and done the sunpath chart, we would not currently be in this predicament, either him or us. Again not good.0 -
Seems very low. Depends of location, of course, but since that date in November I have generated around 135Kwh+, and based on a very rough and ready and connservative calculation.

Hi Silver whistle...It is low, even for not so sunny North West of England. I know I cannot compare system to system even in the same locality, but, others on our area seem to be hitting around 60 to 80 for the month. I'd live with that, but 47.8 for what is effectively almost 7 weeks is having a laugh.

You just know its not a good day at the office when your WNW does best
ESE :- not enough
SSW :- not enough
WNW :- better than the other 2
combined 0.15 O's or 1kWh
Tunnel
May have to console myself
