2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Agreed, I think we all know that these months are not the ones that we got PV panels for, but I console myself somewhat with the knowledge that I am, at least, using 100% of my generation myself :D
I suspect Eric was talking relatively, i.e. in terms of his shallow pitch compared to others at this time of year. Mine's not much steeper and I haven't got near your 24 kWh over the past 4 days from 3.92 kWp. (6.538 today though, about 50% up on yesterday.)

True, although the general sentiment still applies to all with PV, I suspect :)

    What I actually said was
At this time of year I'm really not expecting to generate very much. But hopefully January could be better than December and even last month I'll have earnt more in FIT payments than it cost to keep the panels on the roof. I'm quite happy to have a few months like that and collect the serious money in summer.

The first sentence surely applies to everyone although rest of it is strictly only personal since I've no idea how much it costs anyone else to keep panels on roof.

The shallow pitch will be reducing my generation from potential max by quite a bit. You'd need a roof of approx. 75 deg slope for optimum generation this week. Actually, I have got one of those - but it faces North !

But the shallow roof isn't quite as bad as might be expected - it probably collects more general 'glare' from backlit clouds above.

Had a couple of nice days 0.79 & 0.88 O's, so just about holding on target for Jan so far.

Long term weather forecast is mediocre, so too hard to call, even if it does turn out to be accurate .... yeah right! :rotfl:

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.
