I had 4KW PV system installed last November - just wondering what is the highest daily output anyones had this year - Mine is 25kwh although my system is split east/west so i don't expect to make the same as someone south facing array - but it would be nice to have an idea what others are generating - Thanks:)

Hiya SiEd, I think that's pretty damn good.

It's handy having Jackie here as she's near the top of the tree with you (according to my memory).

I work on the basis that 30kWh from a south facing 4kWp system is 'the target'. At 16 Jackie is very close, at 16.99 she beats it.

My 3.58 system is ESE so I lose 10% for size, and 10% for orientation, approx holy grail (HG) 24, and I've got 22.5 so far. For true East or West I'd guess a 15% drop against south, so you're HG 25.5 perhaps.

Living vicariously through others, I've been watching other forums too, nobody seems to have truly beaten 30kWh's this year yet, apart from a few tracker systems, who've reported 32 to 38 (adjusting to 4kWp scale for reference). Nice!

    Having fun?

Edit: Am I going mad or did you originally say 27? I might be imagining stuff, but my first thought was wow off of an E/W system!

Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

Ooh will I make PVGIS this month? Will be a close call - currently at 360 and PVGIS is just under 400 - can't check exact is is playing up saying I don't exist lol.

Anyone else dash and put their washing machine in as soon as the sun appeared after the rain? Gotta make the most of it with this weather ;0)

Highest readings this month were 26kWh and lowest 4kWh. Let's hope July is a whole lot better.

I've had 27 off a SW/SE split 4kWp system, but I've only had mine in since May - since when its mostly been monsoon season in Somerset! That high was back in May so in theory if we get a long clear day in the next week or so, its possible to beat that if temperatures don't start knocking the generation off.

We're doing OK, covering the interest costs easily, and pretty much generating as much electricity as we use (albeit some is exported and imported) so I'm happy. I'm also certain that its focusing minds on what we use, so shorter showers, less lights on etc.

Our record day stands at 24.4kWh since installation last October, achieved on 26th May, but I am hopeful we can beat it in the coming month or so. Only had 2 days where we've got into the twenties in June, whereas we had 8 in May.

Unless the weather defies the forecast in the next 3 days it looks like we'll miss PVGIS for the first time this month. We need another 54kWh needed in 3 and a bit days, although today has recovered from a pitiful start and currently outputting 1kW with no direct sunlight on the panels.

6.66 on 21/6 BUT 25.73 ( a record!) on 20/6 it is the work of the devil.

There is my record for the first year of use (It is down hill from now?)

The panels are on a 30 degree roof facing SE (42 degrees East of due South, in open land North of Thames Estuary - since Valentine's day I've generated 1,693 kWh using a 3.6 kWp Power One "Aurora" inverter. The system was installed for £10.3k (I think you could haggle it down to 7 - 8 now.)

I'm moderately encouraged by some of these figures; I have a 2kWp system, SSE facing, 37 degree pitch with a frankly underrated inverter, which although allegedly suitable for a maximum of 2kWp is only capable of outputting around 1.5kW AC. The most I have achieved is 12.92kWh on 30th April 2012, so equivalent to just under 26kWh for a 4kWp system. I would expect a continuous day of sunshine in June to beat that but there hasn't been one in either 2011 or 2012! I am currently very unlikely to hit PVGIS for June but it's not going to be as far below as I expected given the awful weather.

11.4 kWh for me today; PVGIS target 255kWh - 235.9kWh done...19.1 to go. Looking hopeful for three days..6.36kWh per day needed; bring it on! :T:T:j:beer:

10.8 kWh for me yesterday. I've been reading the e-on (and others) rant thread.

A large thunderstorm has spent the last hour rattling through Staffordshire - the inverter managed 0.7kWh and then stopped generation at 09:30. At 10:45 it woke up and is currently doing 150w.

Thanks for the PVGIS figures Martyn - something tells me this is going to be a low gen day.
