    Don't we all !!!:D

    FWIW, I managed 13.7 kWh today so - other things being equal - you might have expected 3/4 of that or just under 10kWh.

    But much depends on panel alignment. Mine are facing True South (house set out using direction of sun not a magnetic compass) and inclination only 17.5 deg which even this week is too shallow (30deg is optimum in late June) although still better than anyone with slope of 42 deg or steeper.

    Shading also a factor. Only problems here are a chimney shadow around 4pm (when there wasn't any sun anyway !) and some nearby trees to the South which are only ever a slight problem in December.

    Hi EricMears

    My Roof is South facing. The roof if 45 degrees, There is a Tree in house at the Back toward left handside, which has a slight shade early in morning.

    Its since I had the system installed have not had a good sun, we have Sun for about 20-30 mins then clouds, then Sun for few mins clouds... I wanted to see if system is installed ok. Suppose wait and see.

    Do you have a "gizmo" that displays your inverter's readings in your living room?
    I have an inverter screwed to the wall at the top of the stairs to the attic (it is an "office"/storage/spare room); but having displays on the "gizmo" (a little computerised monitor flat screen, smaller than a post card) gives you an instant feel for what is happening on your roof and is much more addictive, than sitting on the top of the stairs and watching the inverter's display and buzzing and feeling its fins.

    Somewhat "iguana" rather than a "hedgehog" graph today - 2.8 units so far today and currently generating 2,900 Watts during a bright period between rain clouds.

    Been away from home for the last week, but I've not missed much in the generation stakes.

    Our rolling 14day average is now 10.6kWh/day down from 16.6kWh/day at the end of May. On a pro-rata basis we're about 15% down on PVGIS. I recall we were in a similar position in the middle of May and still managed to beat it by 15%, so there's hope yet and today's breezy sunny weather is looking good for a 20+ day, which we've only had one of this month.

    One thing I've noticed is that early morning generation on a good day is less than it was a few weeks back. I attribute this to the sun rising further eastwards and so it takes a little longer for the panels to get the sun, despite being SE facing. The lack of decent days has made proving this difficult and I guess it could be down to morning clouds before I get up, since sunrise is now at 04:53BST.

    I'm also interested to know which provider is best for the FIT registration and where can I get one of those nice geo solo monitors from ? :cool:

    I got mine from here, but it may not be the cheapest anymore.

    Welcome to the forums by the way.

    Hi all

    Today's figure 11.44kwh, beating my best previous figure of 10.22kwh on 9th June.

    11.7kWh today for me, on the way up:j Had double the direct sunshine today from yesterday, not double the generation though:mad::rotfl:.

    Early afternoon cloud yesterday scuppered our chances of bagging a 20+, but we got to 18.4kWh. Today is looking more promising, 4.7kWh by 9AM and the forecast is good for a few days at least.

    Thanks for the welcomes & guidance.

    So a couple of days have gone by since my install and I've got an annoying issue with the inverter shutting down when mains AC spikes over 252V - sometimes for 40mins; I knew our supply was ropey out here in the sticks, but it appears to prefer to spend most of its lunchtime over 249V. :mad:

    I'm waiting for a firmware update on the inverter, which according to my installer, should stop the shutdowns (unless mains AC goes really high!). Does anyone else have experience of this?

    Generation figures are as follows (taken from the TGM as the inverter is reporting higher by about 0.4). The first full day was Fri 15/6.

    15 = 13.4 kWh
    16 = 7.8 kWh
    17 = 12.4 kWh
    18 = 16.0 kWh
    19 = 20.2 and trickling along at 170

    Since 4pm, some large dark clouds have covered the sun and due to my SE positioning, the panels will not be in direct sunlight if the clouds give way. My first 20 though! :j

    I've registered at solargis dot info and trying that pvSpot jobby, but it just says "no data yet, wait 5 secs and click refresh"... it's been like that for an hour - oh well...
