Renewables: "talking 'bout my generation"

Today: 37.6kWh, 5.22 Os. Another unexpected Hawaii.
March: 654.5kWh, 90.8 Os, 109% of PVGIS. A weak first half and strong second half to the month
YTD: 1070.8kWh, 148.62 Os, 90% of PVGIS. Over one MWh of generation in the bank for the first quarter
Interestingly, our ASHP usage for the same period (Jan-March) is 1177 kWh, which is almost totally offset by solar during this period!
Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter8 -
3.25 O's today to give 119% of PVGIS for the month. Felt worse, probably not as warm as recent March's and more brighter days than actually sunny.
Year so far at 96% of PVGIS so catching up after what seemed a very bad start to the year. I guess even a good Jan and Feb doesn't really count much towards the annual total.
Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Forecast for yesterday was thick cloud, but it turned out quite sunny - 2.52 O's.
March ended at 103% of PVGIS.

Not brilliant 1.41 Os, but 109% for month, doesn't seem possible.

Shall we call that a 'Dusty Bin'? (Showing my age).
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

March results.
Month was not too bad, with 88% of target. Small spread, with 86% for the ESE/SSW* and 99% for the WNW. But the WNW figure isn't impacted by battery charging losses, and will be a truer representation of the months 'real' generation. Year end projection ~96% of target.
[*2.1kWp SSW ground mount is steep pitched for winter, and sits between a large tree to the SE and the house to the SW, so will incurr some shading throughout Apr-Sep. The rest of the PV is roof mounted, ESE & WNW, and receives some shading, but all PV is Solaredge to minimise shading losses.]
Generated 550kWh (63.04 O's).
Imported 695kWh. [All cheap rate apart from ~15kWh]
Exported 395kWh.
Total consumption 850kWh. [House and transport now fully electric. DHW 61kWh]
Estimated leccy bill for the next year, at current rates, is ~£550. Estimated export income, at current rates (reduced from 15p to 12p/kWh, is ~£440 to £480. Nice.

Ended the month with some sun. Peak production hit 4.06 kWp
4.18 O's
Month stats:
349.95 kWh 88.15 O's 7th out of 12 for March.
1st: 454.62 Mar 2025, 12th 263.44 Mar 2018, Mean Average: 360.58
Paid for 168 kWh of Elec, 652 kWh of Gas
Diverted 103 kWh through Solar I-Boost
Worst Jan-Mar 552 kWh, Best 2022 894 kWh, Mean Average 715 kWh

I've reran my figures since we are currently unable to switch onto IOF for summer. Recalculating for 12p SEG, I estimate import costs of £329.50 and SEG export of £329.18, so we are just about covering our usage (net zero), with just the pesky £200pa standing charge to consider.
If we could switch to IOF, we'd cover the SC and end up around £200 in credit for the year.

All the 1s today, 1.11 Os.
PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)7
