Been away for the weekend but just checked Saturday and it must have been a Hawaii with 5.06 Os, that's the first since 5th September last year.
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.6 -
4.6 O's on Sat. Best day of the year so far
3.78 O's Sun.
Need many more days like this weekend to catch-up not just for the month but the poor start to the year

Hi,
Lurked on this thread a good few years ago, but I wanted to find it again now that I am about to order a panel & battery installation in/on our new (to us) house in Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales.
What a game finding the thread again! I remember somebody coming up with the Oscar units, but Googling "Oscar" and "panels" was useless. Finally found it on Duck Duck Go with "Oscar kWh/kWp" (if anybody's interested.) I'm hoping that if I post, the system will automatically subscribe me as I can't see a subscribe button.
I see in the meantime that somebody has come up with the Hawaii (presumably equal to 5 Oscars).

Welcome to the thread. We look forward to your results.
We were getting Heavens (7 Os) fairly regularly, last year, even me in notoriously rainy Mid Wales. No idea what's in store for the coming solar season. Good luck with the installation.

1 = Oscar after Oscargrouch who started the 'O' System
2 = Bond as in double O
3 = Typhooo
4 = Winks as in 40 winks
5 = Hawaii 5 O's
6 = Maiden as in Maiden over no runs off 6 balls.
7 = Heaven as in 7th heaven
8 = Potato as in 8 O's
Not aware of anyone getting 8 O's, best I've had is 7.43
Maybe someone with a south facing system near the south coast might be able to do it. I myself are to far North compared with the south coast.
3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
7.43 O's is the best I've had, on a south facing array with no shading in the southern half of UK. That was with a 3.645kWp array on a 3.0kW inverter, so there would have been some midday clipping and therefore scope for a slightly higher result. Based on that, I think 7.5 O's would be possible, but I'm not sure if 8 O's is possible in the UK.
Our green credentials: 12kW Samsung ASHP for heating, 7.2kWp Solar (South facing), Tesla Powerwall 3 (13.5kWh), Net exporter3 -
Just took a trip down Memory Lane. Looks like 7.27 Os, last May, was my finest achievement, probably because my panels are orientated about 20 degrees west of south. It was in the middle of a run of 6 Heavens on the trot, though. Heady days.
