Can you explain some more about the UPS ?
Tis all work in progress...
At the heart of it all is an intel mac mini [also a media server] in the loft which has a connection to most all my renewable kit to do the kind of control/reporting I'm after, UPS being part of it. Very much work in progress but have got to the point I need to upgrade to a newer version of OS X
Cheers
PS as regards UPS runtime - used apc-fix.exe to recalibate the firmware for use with new batts.0 -
That would have been true last time and indeed any time over last two years. But service has gone downhill lately ( see recent thread )2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

I hope all those posting unqualified PVGIS figures are using Climate-SAF PVGIS. I could really big up my numbers using the Classic figures!2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

I'm using the figures that were given when we had our system installed, and which I used to make my decision whether or not to have the system, and against which I'm measuring the return on my investment. (Not in order to 'big up' anything)
Now the goal posts appear to have been moved, I shall have to amend my spreadsheets to run my generation against two sets of predicted figures - but that will have to wait until I have the time, I'm afraid.
In the meantime, I can confirm that my generation still exceeded PVGIS targets (both Climate and Classic):j and that June 2013 generation remains better than June 2012, but not as good as June 20112.22kWp Solar PV system installed Oct 2010, Fronius IG20 Inverter, south facing (-5 deg), 30 degree pitch, no shadingEverything will be alright in the end so, if it’s not yet alright, it means it’s not yet the endMFW #4 OPs: 2018 £866.89, 2019 £1322.33, 2020 £1337.07

Im using the suggested figure from SMA Sunny Portal.. They estimate 3819.22 / year , Climate SAF PVGIS estimates 3820 / year. There are however some differences in the monthly distribution between the two but not enough to worry me as its the total yield that's important.3.995kWP SSW facing. Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).0 -
June was best month since panels installed in Nov 2011. Narrowly beat July 2012 and we got 395 kWh.
In O's thats 131, not a bad result.

It'll be good to have the complete year to compare against but 4 of our best ever solar days since install were last month, we've already had more than double the number of days generating over 20kWh compared to last year (9 vs 4)Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
