3.9 O's yesterday which was much better than I expected.
Missed the showers that were forecast:D

Today says mostly cloudy with little sunshine...hope they are wrong AGAIN
Another 15kWh would/should see me beat June 2012;)

I think the best answer so far has been to fit a new thermostat
I used to virtually* live in the Techie Stuff subforum, which inspired my name.
Maybe you wouldn't have recommended the new thermostat with the hindsight of John Pierpoint's post later this morning. Like him, I want to optimize PV output, so would still be using a timer. I won't be fitting a new thermostat because the only reason for me doing so would be to prevent the (still unverified) fire risk from an unrestrained motor. This could be much more cheaply/easily overcome by adding a second timer, set to the same intervals.

I would actually. Read J-P's post again and you'll see he does have a thermostat as well as using a timer.

I think chances of motor bursting into flames are fairly remote - but not absolutely impossible. The timer will help to shift electricity consumption away from buying daytime power but that will still work with a thermostat set just a bit lower than 'proper' setting.

I've sent you another PM showing cost would be less than £10

We had a pretty good morning but cloud and drizzle set in this afternoon. But even the modest 14.98 kWh is pushing my June generation even further above pvgis.

Got 19.5kWh or 3.49 Os. Not bad considering forecast was terrible.

Eric, here's one for you. Forecast was for large sun, behind small white cloud till 7am. Then dark grey cloud (no sun) till early afternoon, then dark grey cloud with rain all afternoon. Estimated about 5kWhs.

Actual, was grey clouds till 7am, then lovely sun and white clouds till mid afternoon, when it slowly changed to light rain over a few hours. Just shy of day target 21kWhs.

    Q. The next two days are totally sun or sun with white cloud ..... so should I dig out my waterproofs? ;)

Only 3.76 O's for me , sun am; rain pm; not good for my system.....on the brighter side I am currently 13.64 O's up on last June.... smiley-laughing021.gif

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

Forecast has improved for last 3 days of June, so fingers still crossed here in semi-sunny Cardiff.
