Brilliant effort on your part both in researching and following through to install and implementation. I know it's been quite a trial with a few wrinkles still to sort but I reckon we can safely assume generation could out perform domestic consumption. At least on an annual basis, appreciating that EV charging may screw all that. Being on similar latitude It'll sure be interesting to see the variation between our east and west arrays as the year unfolds

On that point, down in Suffolk our panels scraped an Hawaii yesterday. The sun always shines on the righteous!

Edit, Just realised your yesterday was two days ago when output in Suffolk was just 3.9. That should bring a smile surely after all that over thinking!

Edit, Just realised your yesterday was two days ago when output in Suffolk was just 3.9. That should bring a smile surely after all that over thinking!

  

Thanks CW, but as battery problems persist I no longer have the ability to redirect the PV DC gen, so I'm seeing clipping when the 6.7kWp gen exceeds the 3.68kW inverter ..... sadly.

Leaving me in the strange psychological situation of not wanting it to be too sunny, as I'll lose out ...... but also wanting it to be really sunny to boost UK generation. Ain't I the silly billy!

Speaking of UK, quite dramatic numbers on the Nat Grid looking at the IamKate site. We have PV + wind supplying ~80% of demand, and the UK sending 3GW to mainland Europe/pumped hydro. [As of 13:39pm]

We are seeing a day of negative pricing on Agile today, but because it's sunny we can't really exploit it as we first have to "use" our 3kW of solar generation (and give up a potential 15p SEG price) before we can be paid 2-3p per kWh to import from the grid. So any usage is still really costing us 15p regardless. I have given up trying to explain that to the misses today

Cloudy morning with lots of clouds, but the wind blew them quickly away and delivered lots more. Great day for drying clothes, but no one thought to do any washing!
