4.2 O's today. Was also trying for more input 2.30-5.30pm, so most of the morning peak got exported. I do take some comfort from the fact that with clear skies, even trying to use a lot of power (full dishwasher, pyro and drum clean) I'm still coming up with the same import as would have been a typical day for us last year (~10kWh)

Very up and down day. When the sun was out it was bright, but along came the clouds and lots of water! Made good use of the sun with 3 lots of washing, dishwasher and a full tank of hot water!

    2.13 O's

Felt like a very messy day. The weather was all over the place, some brilliant sunshine but lots of long, heavy rain showers. I'm trying to get used to new Flux tariff and export as much as possible. Today was a Saving Session, so also trying to use power from the grid 2.30-5.30pm. I've changed so many inverter settings today, then been laughing at myself for all the faff to probably save a couple of quid.
I think this is t be reason I've held off because I just can't be bothered to fiddle with everything constantly. As long as the sun is shining I'm happy.

    So as a newbie Hi

Had 9.84kwp fitted last week 24x410w panels, 8kw SunSynk Hybrid inverter & 10.24kw of battery fitted last we.

So far it's doing well 30-40kw per day, easily self sufficient & some going back to the grid

My question is what are O's ?

    14kWh, 3.15 O's

I have a friend with EV and large house and consequently large consumption who loves all the faff. With the saving sessions in January he reckons his 1.2MWh usage cost just over £12. Without he said it would have been c£100. That's a sizeable saving and he'll have parameters to automate the process in future.
Personally I'm with @EcoScruples; I do what I can to minimise consumption when the sun's not shining. I guess if I had a battery I'd be able to refine that a bit but I'm not techy enough to go beyond that.

Welcome DN8. O's are simply your days generation divided by your panels output (9.84 for you)

It levels us all out a bit so the one with most on the roof isn't always the "winner"  ;)

@DN8 Have you got a PVGIS estimate of each months solar generation? If not, find the site, input your details and you'll have some idea of what you might generate each month.

March has been quite poor on average for lots of us but yesterday was fairly decent weather. 2.34 O's is my average per day for March, according to my PVGIS results but yours will differ a bit. If DN8 is your postcode you'll find there's several of us who report regularly on here who are not too far away and might get similar weather patterns and O's.
