2.8 O's yesterday, and another 4.1 today which was nice, was able to run a hot cycle on the dishwasher as well as run the oven for an hour for a hot lunch for only around one kWh of import.Assuming I've used PVGIS correctly (ran it once for each roof aspect and then added the totals) it predicted 270kWh for March, and extrapolating the 168kWh I got in the first 22 days I'm on track for 237kWh, or about 88% of prediction.Interestingly, that would put me almost bang on for the year, with January's +22.3kWh and February's +8.5kWh almost cancelling out this month's -32.9kWh
Just don't mention the -40kWh from November

At last a reasonable day yesterday at 2.75 O's, albeit somewhat less than most of you.

Bill73 said:Hello,As my enthusiasm for OVO is rapidly waning following the move from SSE - achieved a 7 month record waiting for FIT payments recently - I would be pleased to learn about your experience with your chosen Licensee and whether you are on deemed export or smart meter 1/2 hourly readings. I have a 20kW wind turbine which OVO don't seem to understand actually generates considerably more kWh than solar so my regular received response from OVO is “The reading you’re trying to submit is higher than we would expect”. For example as of 19:00hrs today 22 March the turbine has generated 250 kWh since midnight and it hasn't been particularly windy (or sunny !). My autumn/winter generation is circa 10,000 kWh per quarter and a bit less in the quieter spring/summer quarters. These generation figures give me a bit of a choice dilemma when I read the various export tariffs that e.g. Octopus have available as they are almost certainly smart meter based. My electrical setup is split phase so I will need a polyphase meter which appear to be as rare as hens teeth at the moment, so I will need to be able to retain deemed export until such time that these meters are available. Grateful for any transfer tips or suggestions you could share.Kind Regards
Bill,
I may be wrong but I think you might need to look for or even start a thread specifically about wind generation. As I'm sure you noticed, most, if not all, of the participants on here are talking about solar.
Good luck!

Thankyou Grandad2b (I'm already in that role with 2 x 4 year olds - start saving now
)
Good suggestion regarding a wind thread, I did find a couple of very early wind related posts but they were mainly about roof mounted domestic machines so the title of this thread seemed a good place to start. I think I may just cut and paste and see if I get any appropriate responses.
Thankyou again
Kind Regards

Hi Bill,
Yeah, maybe I should change my alias - I've actually got 3 myself although I s'pose there's the possibility of more...
Is a 20kW wind turbine very large? Not that I've any realistic prospect of having one myself but I have a mental picture of something quite big.1 -
Mixed day, cloudy, some sun, then yet more rain 2.8 & 1.461 O's2 Separate arrays, 7 x JASolar 380w panels (2.66kWp) south facing, 4 x JASolar 380w panels (1.52kWp) east facing, 11 x Tigo optimizers & cloud, Growatt SPH5000, Growatt 6.5kWh Hybrid battery (Go-live 01/12/21) - Additional reporting via Solar Assistant.2

The panels have had 4 good washes today.
Still, it's been pretty good when it wasn't pouring: 14kWh, 3.15 O's.2 -

2.13 O's
Felt like a very messy day. The weather was all over the place, some brilliant sunshine but lots of long, heavy rain showers. I'm trying to get used to new Flux tariff and export as much as possible. Today was a Saving Session, so also trying to use power from the grid 2.30-5.30pm. I've changed so many inverter settings today, then been laughing at myself for all the faff to probably save a couple of quid.Barnsley, South Yorkshire
