Hello, I haven't been on the Forum for a while and am wondering where all the Solar Panel threads have gone? Are people still having systems installed? We had a 4kw system at our old house and have now moved. We are looking at having a system installed on a barn roof and have been confused at the conflicting information given.
I know we won't get much of a FIT payment now (old system was 21p, 18 years left), but are keen to keep ahead of rising energy prices, so believe it is still a good buy for us. However, now we have to deal with information about batteries and improved inverters, as well as the possibility of having a system in excess of 4Kw, which we thought was a maximum. Can anyone direct me to the best threads, please? Thank you
Like you I needed some help and advice before settling on the 8.85 kWp system we had installed in April this year. I know it includes an EV but is still relevant and well worth a read if you plan to follow a similar path. Just one thing! Will you be allowed to install a PV system on your barn?
