Although some discrepancy as Gen Meter has me at 117% whilst the Solar Edge monitoring says 121%.
This has been a common theme where the Solar Edge app reports about 3-5% over with consistent accuracy each day. Doing some Googling though, this does seem to be par for the course with Solar Edge.
Onwards and Upwards.
After 4 1/2 years my Gen Meter is running at 98.7% of my SolarEdge total on 18.3 MWh's.
I put it down to SE recording down to 3 decimal points where the Gen Meter only does 2
SE can produce low amounts late in the day which may not be enough to increase the Gen Meter. The record of that production would be lost when production starts the next day.3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds0 -
My generation meter has always recorded higher than my inverter (both of them) by 1-3%.2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

S'funny, I'd noticed that our gen meter has been lagging behind the Solar Edge figure and doing a simple calculation works out to be 3.1% difference. Just a shame it's not the other way around.:)
The last day of October generated 3.25 O's bringing the month total to 84.4 and amazingly 140% compared to pvgis.
The start of November is looking decidedly iffy with only 0.16 O's so far today!East coast, lat 51.97. 8.26kw SSE, 23° pitch + 0.59kw WSW vertical. Nissan Leaf plus Zappi charger and 2 x ASHP's. Wow, that is quite something to be 50% up over a whole month.
October has been my best month to date judged against PVGIS with 111%.
Today got off to a really slow start with the inverters churning out 30-40 watts each. I am very pleased to have the new Solis inverters (installed Monday) as my old Sofar Solar inverters didn’t spring into life until there was about 90 watts. Interestingly I could see my near neighbour’s SE system 100 yards away switched off in the gloom about 8.40 but mine kept plodding on.Northern Lincolnshire. 7.8 kWp system, (4.2 kw west facing panels , 3.6 kw east facing), Solis inverters, Solar IBoost water heater, Mitsubishi SRK35ZS-S and SRK20ZS-S Wall Mounted Inverter Heat Pumps, ex Nissan Leaf owner)0 -
My SMA 3800 inverter reads 1% over my generation meter.
I lower it periodically to compensate:D16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -

Yes, biggest excess ever. There were a few dodgy days but most well in excess of the daily PVGIS of 8.55

Hello, I haven't been on the Forum for a while and am wondering where all the Solar Panel threads have gone? Are people still having systems installed? We had a 4kw system at our old house and have now moved. We are looking at having a system installed on a barn roof and have been confused at the conflicting information given.
I know we won't get much of a FIT payment now (old system was 21p, 18 years left), but are keen to keep ahead of rising energy prices, so believe it is still a good buy for us. However, now we have to deal with information about batteries and improved inverters, as well as the possibility of having a system in excess of 4Kw, which we thought was a maximum. Can anyone direct me to the best threads, please? Thank you0 -
