Another mixed day yesterday with 3.97 O's

Should make Estimate but his will be my worst August out of five years. Still 27 O's behind my lowest total.

That’s reassuring, so it isn’t just me then. Yesterday I was getting a real complex with blue skies in every direction while sitting under my own personal black cloud for over 30 mins in the afternoon. I was even thinking of moving north of the Humber.

I am at 80% of my PVGIS estimate with 81% of the month gone although I estimate I have lost about a day's production due to outages. That is 69 Os so far. I don’t expect to be a star performer with my E/W system.

The PVGIS annual estimate equates to 734 Os for me. How does that compare with others, particularly those with split systems?

It is looking as though it will be a low power day today. Will we even make an Oscar?

As a general rule should we expect to exceed PVGIS over the year as a whole?

Mine (not split) is 941 Os. I usually come close but rarely exceed it. I think many others do rather better.

Over 6 years I've averaged 793.5kWhs/kWp, but my system has a size bias to the ESE, and ESE is slightly better than E or W.

Couldn't stop there, so went back and did the calcs per system, and got:

    718.5kWh/kWp for the WNW and
    835.4kWh/kWp for the ESE

possibly the WNW should be 733 O's to account for one PO being down for most of a year before I noticed (shame on me).
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
