Hmm, dont think that would work out for me; my total energy costs per year amount to £615.82p. Will need to split that to cost of Gas V Leccy, but would think gas takes the Lions share; thanks to Solar PV: I will let you know the split...:)..Today, managed A/an Hawaii + 0.44 O's...[IMG][/img]

Our electricity bill is over £900 pa.

Immersion heaters - hence Economy7 (and now the IBoost.) Electric cooker (no mains gas) Too many fridges/freezers/set top boxes, plasma tv. Just the two of us at home most days in a house that is too big for us.

We have just bought a slow cooker to trying eliminate peak loads and are looking at a lower wattage kettle but I would be interested to know what measures others have taken to tailor consumption to solar production.

Hmmm! Well I can certainly see why you've installed solar. Quite a journey undertaken, I hope you enjoy the ride.
I'm sure others will pitch in with helpful advise but for a start it might be worth swapping that plasma tv for a modern LED version. I understand plasma's draw close to a kW whereas an efficient replacement would be far less.
Do let us know how it progresses and what imported energy you eventually arrive at. Might be worth considering a fresh thread to run it on!

Best savings are obvious: don't run two high wattage appliances at the same time; IBoost should save you a fortune ( I do not have the luxury of an immersion to divert to ). You may need to look at the value of Economy7 now that you have PV and an IBoost. Last trick; look at a Santander 123 for your utility bills; they pay you interest % for each one going out, get your supplier to double your Leccy DD, then give you a rebate every 2 months, works for me.;) Not too bad a day, A/An Hawaii + 1.16 O's...coffee.gif

Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).
