Fluttering power now, due to snow/cloud flurries - 3 ho's here so far today.
    A gnats' shy of 4 ho's yesterday.

2nd best Feb eveeerrr! Currently at 123% of target.
Unless March turns in a stonking performance though, I'll be down on my calendar year target on 21/3
4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.

Poor day but as no sun about and bits of white stuff I cannot complain.

    1.13 O's
3.795 kWp Solar PV System. Capital of the Wolds

  • A very surprising (given the weather) and creditable 2.628 O's

Much more sun than expected today and a very creditable 3.22 Os. However, what is more remarkable is that the peak output was much higher than the last few record-breaking days, at over 1.9 kW and these high values were sustained for quite some time. This is much higher than I have ever seen before - until last September I had an inverter that was incapable of putting out more than about 1.6 kW and I only rarely saw that. Needless to say this will be my best ever February. :)
2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.

I think you will find that to be true. My previous inverter was capped at 3.6 kW as is my new ABB; with a 2.5 kWp system I often exceed 3.00 kW output for short periods. Think you are in for a much better generation future; incidentally, what make of inverter did you have before the glitch? today made 2.76 O's...;)...coffee.gif
2.5 kWp PV system, SSW facing, 45 Deg Roof. ABB Inverter, Monitor: 'Wattson'.
Reg. for FIT Nov 2011. "It's not what you generate; it's how you use it that matters". One very clean Vauxhall Diesel Sri, £30.00 Road Tax: B)

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

    A thoroughly unexpected 2.49 O's yesterday.

I suspect Feb will close at about 140% of target, not only being my best Feb ever, but also beating my previous percentage record of 131% (July 13).
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

It was a Mastervolt Sunmaster XS2000, rated at 2kWp but output limited to 1575W. Not the greatest piece of kit and you can hardly even give them away on eBay.

It doesn't look like I'm going to be generating anything today unless I get out there and clear the snow off the panels. Can't see that happening at the moment.

Edit: I spoke too soon - actually generating 35W despite panels being completely covered in an inch or two of snow!

Further edit: Now back to zero. My wife is threatening to lean out of the dormer windows with a broom!

Final edit: OK, I succumbed. Went out with a ladder and broom and cleared the lot! The joys of living in a bungalow. :)

  • 1.34 O's for yesterday, taking us through PVGIS estimate for the month.

Looks like this will be the best February since install in August 2015.
