6.1 Os yesterday, and 6.3 Os today, and a forecast of sun all day tomorrow on the sunny south coast. Boring! I made a suggestion in a post on St Patrick's Day that 25 Os over five days would really be something to celebrate, as opposed to the occasional Hawaii. Now I realise I'll be there by about 9am tomorrow, and the dream score ought to be 30 Os over five days - a really high five! I wonder if I or anyone else will manage this.

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

National Grid reported a record yesterday with 8GW of PV generation, supplying 25% of demand at times.

Gridwatch have changed the relevant graph from 7GW to 8GW as PV was going into the headings at 7GW, but is now doing the same at 8GW.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

I'd be interested to know how NG get their figures for PV generation. My guess would be that it can only include commercial solar farms who are measuring output and charging NG for it. They can't have any idea of how much I generated yesterday nor that of the majority of home PV systems.

My 22 kWh is obviously trivial but if thousands of other system's output is going unrecorded then the true figure for total PV generation may well be even higher than published.

Apparently Sheffield Uni are estimating what we might be generating by monitoring 244 individual sites and (presumably) multiplying it up by total kWp of such sites
