    Hi All

.... I wonder how much more insulation I can get on the cylinder & tank :D:cool:

My 25mm rising main is plastered into the wall near to the chimney.

The water coming in through it is so cold it creates condensation and the dampness damages the decoration of the wall.

Any thoughts of how much heat it is transferring to the tank in the loft and how it might be insulated?

I get the same problem with the water that feeds the toilet cistern, I do remember from the 1960s that Canadians used to wrap their cisterns in a furry cover - but perhaps that was more of a fashion statement, than condensation preventer?

Need 50kWh to break 3500 for the year with just over 2 weeks to go

Got 5kwh yesterday after several 2kwh days.

Today is looking much sunnier - 9kwh so far at 2pm, washing was on at 9am this morning, second batch of tumble drying almost done... and then on with the slow cooker for the rest of the day! So we've probably used most of our generation today...

Not as impressive as lucky Legoman's amazing 3500 kwh year to date yield but today we have:

    1. Hit our october PVGIS monthly estimate of 225kwh (with 4 days to go), and...

    2. We also hit 3200 kwh generated to date, which has exceeded our 3131kwh forecasted annual estimate.

We have another month now of most likely paltry generation before our installations first anniversary but we look to be slightly ahead in terms of what our expected yield was.

Question is: can we reach 3400Kwh in our generation year, or by calendar year end?

I will do an annual generation declaration when we finally get there!

It has been really useful to see what people actuals versus planned generation has been. Glad we took the leap of faith to go ahead a year ago without so much anecdotal data and knowledge gained through sites like this and PVOutput

3.84KW system, 45 degree roof, SSE aspect, some shading
