6 O's exactly. Exactly the same smooth curve as yesterday but I reckon the extra heat put it down a notch.

Not quite as good as yesterday but if it passes 25 kWh I very happy.
    Monthly total passed 3 figures.
Disappointed with today; had a bit of high-level cloud in the afternoon, didn't beat the best of May; which was 7.04 O's.. but happy with a/an Hawaii + 1.84 O's...coffee.gif
Thinking of getting a high level mirror erected, S/E of me; and or spraying my panels with water during the day to cool them down, perhaps worth 10% more; but don't fancy working for 5p per hour though...:rotfl::rotfl:

Definition of 'O's = kWh/kWp (kWh = your daily & accurate Generation figure) (kWp = the rated output of your PV Panels).

I managed a combined Maiden today, that's around £15 in old money.
Had the aircon running most of the day and the house is now like a fridge, even bought a few kWh's after the sun went down to keep it going.4617.gif
    2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)

I've been thinking of getting aircon to run off the PV. What are your thoughts? Any advice appreciated. Particularly what kit you've got. Am I right in thinking that it also heats very reasonable for cold but reasonable PV days?

Been on holiday - took the sun with me to Scotland:D
    Ended may at 117%
June has been a disaster but looks like I have bought the sun back with me!!! :rotfl:
    6.4 O's today and 6.2 O's today.

for my system the peak has been 3.15 Kw but in the last few weeks 2.9 has been the max - the orientation of panels and the sun is not ideal.
It might go back to >3 when the sun starts retreating :p

    Hi ET,
Take a look on this thread
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4715287
It was started in 2013 and recently updated by Zeupater after a recent purchase. My system(can't remember what it is off hand) does heat and cooling and runs on about 1.2kWh, easily achievable even in the colder months, I believes Zeups runs on a lot less and is adjustable.

They are power hungry and if its for just one room you might be ok with the excess power.

Used to have Split AC's when I lived abroad a decent size one was munching away nearly 2 Kw when the compressor kicked it. Have always used AC's larger than 12K BTU's ( that would be for a small room)

But things would depend on the temperature difference and your insulation - which should be fantastic since we all have homes which retain heat :D

Hiya. that's the idea behind the discussion on the other thread. A smaller split system that makes better use of any excess being directed through an oil rad, by multiplying it up considerably in the shoulder months. Plus the A/C bonus if it gets just too hot in the summer, when there should be plenty of excess PV (on a hot sunny day).

Effectively giving you one warm or cool room, and if there is spare, you just use the door as a temp control to 'export' excess to the rest of the house.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.
