Not sure where to stick this (no suggestions necessary
) but just spoke to EDF to sort out a meter reading appointment, and chatted about smart meters.
They confirmed that they still won't use actual export for FiT claims, but that the export is recorded and the information available (though they wouldn't guarantee it's perfectly correct). So for data geeks this may be useful.
Mart.Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

I haven't posted here for a long time for personal reasons, but I have just read the meter exactly 5 years after my system was commissioned and it's 9186.53. That's a yearly average of 1873.306 against a SAF PVGIS figure of 1881.9, so I'm not too displeased with that, given the limitations of my system. I think the prediction at installation was 1600.2kWp Solar PV - 10*200W Kioto, SMA Sunny Boy 2000HF, SSE facing, some shading in winter, 37° pitch, installed Jun-2011, inverter replaced Sep-2017 AND Feb-2022.0

Mart.
Yeh right; won't use them if they are over 50% export; but will if they are less more like....if they can't trust the export how can they trust the usage;...don't think 'smart meter' is as smart as they make out...:rotfl:Hawaii + 0.41

5.12 O's yesterday, a HAWAII.
Today is very dull and looks like it will rain shortly.

So even then 29.95W, 7.5 O's.
In low power the solar edge seems a bit sporadic, in high gen it seems more accurate. Other than checking the meter every day, are there any better ways?New PV club member. 3.99kW system. Solar Edge with 14 x 285W JA Solar panels. 55° West from south and 35° pitch.0 -
It was taken from the Solaredge inverters. Which I suppose if I'm fair could be 5% over the generation meter.

No! not really. I use Sunny explorer and Wattson ....both are different to actual generation meter readings:eek:.
