And that's April target done!
6.59kWh so far today, even with snow and ice an inch think on the ground!
Had to sweep the car before taking boys to work!4kWp, SSE, SolarEdge P300 optimisers & SE3500 Inverter, in occasionally sunny Corby, Northants.
Now with added Sunsynk 5kw hybrid ecco inverter & 15kWh Fogstar batteries. Oh Octopus Energy too.0 -
For that reason you and I and others on here will always be under our estimated target in the winter months and probably always play catch up in the summer.
Sorry if I upset you in any way but certainly no offence was ever meant.:o

Hi,
Unfortunately for me, it looks like most of my shading is going to be over the summer mornings.
First year so will keep an eye on it.

The next question is, do you feel better hoping for more generation, or worse as you were further behind in past months.
PV is a numbers game, based on medium to long term averages, so I'm sure it'll all be good. The last 6 months have not been the best!
Mart.
Well, as I said, most of the quotes I got were around the 3600-3700 range, and I was expecting the lower end of this/less then this. Not sure exactly what info was used to come up with the estimate for the quote, but I already had it in my head when reviewing the quotes that I should not expect as much, as I guess the sales people would try and go as high as possible with the generation estimate.
If I can get the higher 3700 estimate that would be great :jtheboylard wrote: »Hi dd,
You've selected building integrated - are they actually integrated into the roof structure - replacing the roof tiles with the panels, or are they fixed on mounting rails on top of your existing roof tiles?
Can't remember if you've said previously, but if you have added the panels to an existing roof, and they were installed in less than a couple of days, then you should be selecting free standing on pvgis.
Thanks for the correction. For some reason I had assumed free standing was referring to ground mounted panels. Have now tried with free standing and am getting 3580 which I am going to use as my target going forward.
An good 3.89 O's yesterday.

Need 3.33 Os per day to make PVGIS - exactly what I needed at the start of the month - forecast remains 'mixed' with the sunny start showery afternoon not ideal for our W facing array. It will be touch and go.I think....0

4.65 O's yesterday, which with all the hail, snow and rain was a surprise! PVGIS target 426 kWh, at the moment i'm at 407 kWh, so i think i should get there!3.96 kWp System, SSE Facing, 30 Degree Pitch, 12 x 330W BenQ Panels, Solar Edge Inverter, Lincoln, Lincolnshire. Installed 26th May 2015.0

Yep, same here. It was sometime before I used free standing.
