    Hi,

    I found reference to the PVGIS website from this forum, not quite sure which 'version' I used.
    I may well be low, as the estimate I received from the quote was closer to 3700Kwh.
    I had assumed (possibly incorrectly) that this might be slightly higher then what I would actually get.

    Hiya, before I posted yesterday I stuck a pin in Herts with your rough description, and also got ~3,700kWh, hence my tongue in cheek mention of an additional 200kWhs.

    PVGIS is an extremely good place to start from.

    The next question is, do you feel better hoping for more generation, or worse as you were further behind in past months. ;)

    PV is a numbers game, based on medium to long term averages, so I'm sure it'll all be good. The last 6 months have not been the best!

    Mart.
    Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 28kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

    For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

    need an average of 4 O's a day until the end of the month for PVGIS. Not looking promising.

    A surprising 4.35 O's yesterday considering the forecast and amount of cloud. Maybe there is hope :D

    Shame you are not with EoN; they ask for a reading on the 31st March and one for whenever your FIT date falls on afterwards. Both readings are submitted via their on line accounts when your after April FIT is due (if you get what I mean)....:T

    Morning Oscargrouch and thanks for the positive feedback. It's really appreciated. I'll let my colleagues in the FIT teams know. Glad, too, the online service is working for you. :)

  • Hi,

    Thanks to everyone who has provided info,
    The link merlin139 provided does look familiar.
    I have re-tried using this link and now have 3420
    Installed peak PV power = 4
    Estimated system losses = 14% (which is the default)
    Mounting position = Building integrated
    Slope = 40
    Azimuth = 50

    All other settings left as they are, the slope/azimuth I have got from the various quotes I got.

    If I tick Optimize slope and Also optimize azimuth then I get 3700

    Should I have ticked the Optimize slope and Also optimize azimuth? Which I do not remember doing the first time round I used the site.

    3.56 O's yesterday

    defaultdriver
    3.99KW SunEdison (14 * 285W), Solis inverter, iBoost, Herts, roughly SW facing

    Hi dd,
    You've selected building integrated - are they actually integrated into the roof structure - replacing the roof tiles with the panels, or are they fixed on mounting rails on top of your existing roof tiles?
    Can't remember if you've said previously, but if you have added the panels to an existing roof, and they were installed in less than a couple of days, then you should be selecting free standing on pvgis.

    Lovely day for me!
    5.44 ho's but that'll be because of the bright start.

    View from the office is a bit different now...

    IMG_20160427_185729.jpg

    As of snow stopping play, we now need 1.25 ho's, or 5kWh, to hit target for the month.
    This has been a good week with 165kWh landing over the last 9 days, 42 in the last 2.
