Just got an email from First-Utility saying that my first reading of my generation meter will be required but payment is 8 weeks later on last friday in May, is this normal?. And Junes reading will be paid last friday in August.
First Utility are pretty bad/slow, payment for a meter reading I gave on the 2nd Dec is only due this week!Bury - 4.96kWp system

Regarding First Utility FIT payments, here's the email reply i got back when i registered my system...Stage one completed: We have received your Generation Agreement, MCS certificate, Energy Performance Certificate, Proof of ownership, current meter reading and Signed Declarations for the Feed in Tariff scheme.
Your tariff will start from the 23rd December 2015 (when we received your completed Generation Agreement form and MCS certificate), all generation from this date is eligible to be paid for 20 years. Your generation tariff is 12.47 pence per kWh and the export rate for 50% of your generation is 4.85 pence per kWh.
Start meter reading 5.8 kW
Stage two: We will add your solarPV onto the Ofgem FIT register as soon as possible and then contact you with these details. We currently have received an overwhelming amount of applications but are working hard to go through these. It can take up to 12 weeks to process your application, this will not affect your tariff rate as you will be eligible from the date we receive your completed application and MCS certificate.
You will receive some terms and conditions as well as a FIT Plan which is your contract with Ofgem. We require you to sign the terms and conditions and return them to us.
Stage three: *Once you have returned the signed terms and conditions we will update Ofgem’s register and then add your details into our payment system. Only then will you be contacted for quarterly generation meter reads.
*Please note when corresponding with the feed in tariff team by post we always advise to use recorded delivery to ensure your documentation does not go astray. When corresponding by email you will always receive an auto response so you know we have received your email.
Kind Regards,
Vicky

My question is that if it takes 12 weeks to get a reply and then at least one more week to get updated and added to the payment system they will have missed my first quarter generation reading deadline and i'm wondering what would happen then?
I'll set a reminder to take a picture of the generation meter on the 23rd March and hope for the best i suppose.

I also have some news on my flat top generation curve. Having spoken to my installer I checked the voltage of my two strings and they were both identical and as expected. Just as we were going to give it another month or two he had a brainwave regarding the MPP Trackers on my inverter. I have 2 trackers A and B and both my strings were plugged into A. This goes against the diagrams and pictures i've seen online but i'm not sure, now i've changed to A and B what effect it might have putting them on the separate MPP trackers. I guess time will tell unless anyone wants to chip in with a hypothesis?
