Finished the month with a Maiden
All my systems were up around 10% on the month, not bad considering the 2nd half wasn't really up to much.
Due to the crappy 2nd half my import was slightly up, averaging 7.5kWh a day(ouch) and gas remained at 3 units(only used for hot water and cooking)

Still, FiT for month well exceeds the import costs by about a ratio of 9 to 1 so have to be happy with it(who wouldn't be?)

Generation for July broke into positive territory with a mighty 30.8kWh or 5.52 Os. So ended up 10kWh over target. Actually that was July's only 30+.

ESE gave 375kWh or 96% of target. 104.75 Os.
WNW hit 226.7kWh or 112% of target. 113.35 Os.

    601.7kWh 2015
    738.3 2014
    774.6 2013
    411.6 2012 (WNW only 3 days old)

Import for July was 80kWh, smack on target.

    Mart.
Mart. Cardiff. 8.72 kWp PV systems (2.12 SSW 4.6 ESE & 2.0 WNW). 20kWh battery storage. Two A2A units for cleaner heating. Two BEV's for cleaner driving.

For general PV advice please see the PV FAQ thread on the Green & Ethical Board.

. . . . . Is this normal for there to be such a large discrepancy between the generation meter and the SE inverter?
Not 'normal' - but not unusual either I'm afraid.

I'm quite lucky in having our two readings around 0.1% apart - although even that's a bit odd as our TGM tends to read fractionally higher than inverter and whilst some system losses between the two are to be expected the concept of additional generation happening along a bit of cable is bizarre.

It's no doubt all down to tolerances. neither device is 100% accurate and if both have the maximum allowable tolerance in opposite directions that sort of discrepancy is easily explained.

Worst July so far for me. Nearly 100kWh down on last year. That said the rest of the year so far has been better than previously, so shouldn't complain really. Just crept past PVGIS target and exported only 50% (58% last month) which is not bad for mid summer. Will be interesting to see what my accurate annual export figures are now that I have the myimmerSUN monitoring which tells me all I need to know...

I keep a record of the difference between TGM and Inverter. My SMA 4000TL has drifted 1.06% in 25 months, most of which was when the TGM was about 10m away from the inverter. The 1600TL has drifted 0.6% over 16 months. At the end of the day it's the TGM that counts...

517kwh for my first month according to the inverter, 503 by the export meter; but I want to check the exact roof pitch and aspect to confirm my pvgis target. Any websites where I can check which way exactly my roof faces?

Try this for size, http://suncalc.net/#/53.8008,-1.5491,11/2015.04.18/13:59 the location may not fit, but the rest might. Use find my location button if your lost....:D
