So the point is that it's a way of comparing generation that levels out the difference between people's system sizes ?
Yes, but system size is just one of the factors that dictate a panel system's output. If the other half of your semi has identical type of panels & inverter then it would give you a good idea if any faults were developing in your system (or theirs). However, it's completely useless for comparing systems in different locations or with different roof geometry etc.

So, this was happening this morning in my hallway...

    ....

Seems the hot water storage tank has decided it no longer wants to store water :(

Had to drain the tank (of hot water!) down as I poked where the drip was coming out and the drip turned to a gush! Looks like the tank is scrap due to corrosion :(:(:(

    I don't really appear to be a 5 O man, but yesterday I got 20,100 / 3,780 = 5.32 Os.

Of considerable more importance, I appear to be using 70% of my own generated power. That is helped by Grandpa Sterling, Mrs Sterling and Master (Law Student) Sterling being in the house during the day.

Is that Artex? Following a similar series of events, I finally got rid of mine. You can never match it up. It is an inconvenience and a mess but once you are back to plaster it is relatively easy to cop with future episodes.

:rotfl: LOL. Lucky for me, there is no MrsA.

So, 2 good neighbours later and I have a Redring Powerstream 12kW instantaneous heater providing on demand hot water throughout - awesome. Hot water tank disconnected for now. I just had a shower - you can see the "bump" in my graph. :rotfl:

Yeah :( I hate the stuff too. I'm waiting for my lottery win so I can move out, have the place rebuilt and move back in to a super eco green home. Not just yet though...

Not in the least worried - but I fail to see any 'fun' in calculating a meaningless ratio. For even more such 'fun' , have you considered working out the number of seconds since the 1st Jan then dividing that by PI ?

Gosh, how many times have we had this argument? It is not meaningless, it is extremely useful for comparison and we all know its limitations. Anyway I've comfortably exceed a sixer today so well happy. Last time that happened was 4th July.
