It's a pack of 6 really small packets which was available to purchase for £1.25 a few weeks ago before being hiked to £1.49 to allow it to feature in the "big price hop":p0

their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'

Typical 'bar room lawyer' advice!I do not smoke. I last smoked on 03 November 2011. I will not give in to that awful addiction again.0 -

A shop does not have to sell you anything if they choose not to.0 -
A shop does not have to sell you anything if they choose not to.
Are you sure about that?
My mate Andrew told me something about a secret EU law that means that all shops have to sell you anything for whatever price you like, provided that you ask them within 2 years of seeing an advert.
Fair enough, it was late on a Saturday evening and we had imbibed a few shandies, but I'm sure that's what he said.0 -
Oh God.
Me thinks this thread is going to end up like the £1m baked bean post a while back.
Anyone else think so?0 -

True that. My brother's wife's auntie's boyfriend's sister is a lawyer and she told me. Straight up. Anybody want a £50 Tesco Ipad? I went in today with a barrister and a transit van, got hundreds of 'em.0 -

Google ' Invitation to treat'.
That said, I puchased a watch from Ernest Jones for my wife and when I went to pay for it, I was quoted £200.00 more than that was shown on the price ticket.
It was a genuine mistake and I declined the purchase, however, I received a letter from their head office inviting me to return to the shop and purchase the watch at the displayed price - which I did.
They were not legally obliged to do that, but was a fantastic gesture on behalf of Ernest Jones.0 -
For goodness sake, does nobody have a sense of humour any more?!If they have advertised it at that price, they are obliged to sell it to you.
Do you REALLY think that post #2 was anything other than tongue in cheek? Are people really going to insist on their LEGAL RIGHTS to be charged £21.50 for 100g of crisps????
For anyone who is unsure, 100g is approximately the equivalent of 3 standard bags of crisps, which retail in newsagents at around 50 - 60p.0 -
It's a typo innit. The price for the overall pack is correct - they've just miscalculated, or mislisted, what that works out to be for 100g."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
