Who mentioned anything about a LL harassing a tenant? It sounds more like you'd want to put obstacles in the way of a landlord selling his property........

Good job a tenant can't do that! A tenant cannot obstruct a landlord from entering HIS property. If he does - he will be taken to COURT - and slung out.

By the way, you can't be charged with criminal damge TO PROPERTY THAT BELONGS TO YOU. A tenant merely rents - a landlord owns.

Oh God save us from yet another LL who talks out of their behind and thinks by granting a tenancy to someone, they can start ruling their tenant's entire lives and can do exactly what they like!

Whilst a tenant is in residence on a binding tenancy agreement it is the TENANT'S home, and a tenant can obstruct a LL entering their HOME. Infact even the police need a court warrant to force entry, unless they have proof of criminal activity inside.

Tenants can run the risk of eviction of they do choose to prevent a LL entering, but common advice to tenants here is to change locks to prevent LL entering, and change back when their tenancy ends. We do not encourage tenants to be awkward over allowing viewings, infact it is oft suggested that they come to an arrangement for a few evenings a week when viewings can take place, but tenants have a right to choose when, and refuse should they wish!

And by the way, I am not a "green-eyed" tenant spouting tenant's rights - I am a LL of 12 years standing who understands the law surrounding LL rights of access!

He'd be a NUISANCE tenant, though. Therefore he could be slung out. End of.

NO tenant can lay down the law and PREVENT the landlord from having people come round to view HIS property.

    You need to get real.

OMG, I really hope you're not a landlord. If you are, you seriously need to do some research on Landlord and Tenant law.

OP, I don't think it would affect you, unless you have a personal reason for not wanting your car linked to the property and published online.

However, it is often considered bad practice to advertise a car and show its reg no. People with dodgy intentions who wish to change the ID of a car by pinching the number of an identical car, can trawl the net to find one - usually a long way away from where they live, so they won't chance passing it on the street! Cloned car can then be used in criminal activity, avoid parking/speeding fines or congestion charge, or even be sold on claiming to be several years newer than the original. A sale of an identical reg car would not affect you as the owner of the original with that reg no, but might take a lot of proof that you were not travelling on the A38 at 102 miles an hour last Sunday when you get the speeding ticket through the post - with speed camera shots to prove it! It could also "pinch" your insurance, as the cloned car would not show up as uninsured on ANPR cameras, as you have your policy covering the real car!

If it makes you feel better, then ask the agents to blank the number, or retake that particular photo with you car moved.

Do you think a criminal is going to spend potentially days scouring Rightmove to find the exact same make, model, spec and colour of car they wish to clone in a picture? Or do you think they'll go to Autotrader and type in the location, make, model, spec and colour into the search function and get one in 2 secs.

    OP - I wouldn't worry about it.
