I missed the deadline of 25 January 2007 to install the free Quark in Computer Shopper magazine. Does anyone know if anything can be done about it? Is all lost as I would really like to install it?

Have you tried changing the date on your computer to prior to 25th, installing the software and then changing back?Comping 2008 wins £4842 2009 wins £950.50 2010 Wins £140 2011 £00

Thanks. I did but it's an online registration so I guess there's a database of codes and dates.0

Apologies ignore my previous link, that takes you back to an older link.
The link posted below takes you to the current offer for Quark found as a March cover disk

Thanks Chaddy but doesn't that mean buying it again? I rather hoped that I could bring the one I bought back to life.0

I think Martin said somewhere how the 25 January deadline could be extended but I can't find it. Sorry. Maybe somebody else knows? Shame you can't use it now you've bought it.0

Been doing a bit more searching on a few forums for you regarding this Quark software that recently appeared as a free coverdisk on both Computer Shopper and PcPro magazines.
It would appear that there was a monumental mess up between the magazine publisher and the software supplier when they formulated this freebie.
It was what looks like an absolute nightmare for everybody who had purchased either mag to get the software registered/validated.
Have a read of this thread QuarkXPress Registration (3 pages) you will then get a feel for the problem (You may have to register to view it)
http://www.pcpro.co.uk/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=214724
If you still want to register the software then maybe give Quark customer service a call at (0800 032 5714 UK local free phone) or (00800 1787 8275 International free phone) for assistance.
