I made this for the kids last night, but you could exchange the beans for spahetti........
Heat a tin of beans and add alittle bit of cheese,
Boil some potatoes (tinned are fine) and mash with butter and milk,
Then in a casserole put....layer of beans (or spg)
layer of corned beef
layer of mash
layer of grated cheese
Then brown in the oven. The kids loved it and it cost a grand total of around 80p and fed 3 of us as a main meal.

Why do some people serve tinned spaghetti as a veg? It's mainly wheat, in a bit of tomato sauce, which is also full of salt and sugar. Never buy it myself and kids don't like it anyway.0

I hate tinned spaghetti though the kids love it!!
It is one of those things that often gets served to visiting children the first time they come for tea, eventually they get the usual veggies!0 -
i love tinned spaghetti. i can eat it straight from tin cold, yummy.
how about rice , fishfingers and spaghetti , or jacket potato , spaghetti and cheese .
spaghetti isn't as versitile as baked beans but i'm sure i could think of some more ideas, as i sorted out tin cupboard and i have 11 tins of it.0 -
This is one of my uncle's recipes. He was an old bushman & it really dresses up a can of spaghetti. It's the only way I can bear the stuff. We call it Spaghetti Mixture.
Fry one chopped onion in a little butter until soft, add a can of spaghetti. Stir until hot & add about 1/2 cup grated cheese. Stir until melted. Serve on toast. Try it, it makes the spag delicious. :drool:Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Cook mince in it in a saucepan like you would with bolognese sauce and serve it up as a spaghetti bolognese with a twist. Add some herbs to it maybe.2008 Comping ChallengeWon so far - £3010 Needed - £230Debt free since Oct 20040

Quite a few of our local supermarkets have trolleys in the entrance with collections organised by the "Lions", Rotary, Round Table etc during the Christmas period and people put groceries in there to be distributed amongst the needy, eldery, low income families etc. Maybe you could get rid of a few like this.0
