Probably very little as selling them is in breach of the terms and conditions of use. This is the first time though i have heard of the fraud team being involved, usually they just get cancelled if caught, although most sellers convert them to a deal before posting as that is harder to detect when the 'wrong' person uses them.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Soolin, I have never bought or sold Clubcard vouchers but when I used some in Goldsmiths, they asked me for photographic ID when I was redeeming them (as the deals vouchers had my name on them).0

sorry to go off tangent, but just wondered if my mum would then be in trouble if she gifted her vouchers to me ?0

I messaged a seller the other day to warn them that they hadn't covered the online code up in their listing pic and that anyone could just use the code on tesco direct! He got back to me a couple of days later to say thanks for the warning but it was too late someone had already used them! Some sellers are a bit daft and other scum have no morals.
I would say don't buy or sell clubcard vouchers as it isn't worth the grief.0 -
Thanks for your reply, how would this stand with the ebay buyer, would my friend have to refund him? thanks for your help.0

Yep, but just in case of any scam (not that it seems likely) ask for the vouchers back, or if they were retained by Tesco ask for a copy of the letter so that they know buyer is out of pocket. Buyer then needs a refund in full including original postage paid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. No, but you may be refused use of them - unless she gives you one of her key-ring cards, for use in the store.
For rewards? Same surname & address, but not joint probably ok, but otherwise transaction unlikely to go through.
Clubcard vouchers are not transferable - how are CC to that they haven't been 'nicked'!?I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
Thanks. I know "rules is rules", but it's a shame that you can't make up your own mind what you want to do with them0

This is why i transfer mine into a deal that IS transferable.
Sold over £1000 worth now - without problem.
I first tried selling a very small amount without transferring them - to see how it went - and the buyer was unable to use them. However, as he had told me he defo could use them - he said keep the money.
Since then i have never risked it.
The item may not be covered by buyer protection - in which case the buyer will not be able to open a case.
Tesco's involvement may be due to the buyer admitting buying them, as opposed to being given them by a family member etc. Although both against the rules - selling them on is more serious.
Tell your friend to log into her account online and see if the vouchers are still showing as available. If so - might be an idea to spend them online quickly.0 -
