People couldn't just answer the question with a straight answer without all catty comments that have gone along with it??? No???

I have to say that I find some of the posters on here really offensive. I don't post often, and sometimes purely down to the fact that I would get some ridiculous sarky comment back. I'm sure there are others like me too, who merely lurk and don't want to post anything for fear of being ridculed - and I'm pretty sure that wasn't what this Forum was intended for....

However, if it makes people feel more important by judging others and passing comments then so be it. I will return to lurking and looking for the helpful information that many people post on here.

Put it the other way though If he had NOT been in a Coma and had not had any friends to pay his bills hence he got into debt in the firs place etc but HAD really borrowed the money, spent it, not paid it back etc and now wanted to do it again then it is people like you who encourage this behaviour, spending too much time sugar coating the issue and not giving any real useful advise, if he wants pity he can always go to the Samaritans.

I don't see anybody ridiculing him at least they are being honest, there are people who have busted their guts trying to get out of debt and when somebody comes here and says I have bad credit who can I ask to lend me more money then it is a tad annoying to say the least.

I understand that people have real reasons for being in so much debt but usually when people are asking for help they give a little reason for what they want the money for usually to pay back what they owe which is another danger in itself. This person however just said I have bad credit and now I want to know who will lend me some more.

Maybe because there is no lender who will lend, might be 1 who would but only at a high interest. In fact post number 2 was quite helpful yet the OP clearly didnt like the reply as he said it was a lecture when it wasnt.

Maybe your not suited to forums if you can't accept theres people who will reply with views that you dont agree with.

Maybe grow some thick skin then.

I have thick skin thank you very much! ;)

I feel for the OP as it is a question I would have asked only a year or so ago myself - he/she is obviously at the start of the long hard slog that people go through to get themselves out of debt. I just think sometimes it's easy to pass judgement on people. Perhaps I am too sensitive (I'm a female after all!)

Anyhoo - i'm off to continue to try and see the light at the end of the debt tunnel....

Think the thread has flared up because OP sounded a bit oblivious to the gravity of the situation and has taken offense to someone who pointed it out.

Disregarding all the hoo-har above - OP the only lenders that will lend to you and I are payday lenders until we have served our 6 year sentence when defaults, ccj's etc fall off the credit reports.

So, until that time, the best we can do is show we are responsible by managing our money well. Ideally that means not touching credit products for 5 years and saving instead, then in the last year try to get subprime cards such as vanquis to build up a profile for our 'new' credit reports which will ensure we are seen as a good credit risk when our 6 years is up.

If things still are not good in your finances, as I myself have experienced during my time, the only option is pay day lenders as their x000% interest rates account for the fact that many in our category do not repay - something we have to live with for now as we got got ourselves into that category in the first place.

Quickquid, Wonga, Payday UK are the most reputable and best value of the market and the most they will lend is £400 for the first loan. For some reason, all of them are around 25% per month, which is kind of funny when a couple of years ago many people felt pure anger on hearing 5% per month with vanquis. There is a tier underneath these main payday lenders which have a lower level of reputation and their loan amounts can be really peanuts (be sure to google reviews before signing your life away to any of them). These sub-sub-sub prime lenders often have greater barriers to entry like sending documents, taking ages to send the money, requiring phone calls etc and less reputatable collections departments - AVOID them and payday "loan brokers" at all costs, they will just ruin you!

    yours sincerely,
in your shoes & debt free in 03/2013!

There are good odds that quick quids licence may not be renewed as they are in breach of their current licence, so may be best to avoid them.
