Hanno Heatmaster......anybody actually got one?

Now I do not have an oil boiler but I happened across a video on Youtube about this Hanno Heatmaster contraption. From what I can tell, it is essentially a retro fit secondary heat exchanger to convert a standard efficiency boiler into a high efficiency condening boiler. If this was as easy as bolting an external heat exchanger onto an old boiler, surely people would be falling over themselves to buy one of these instead of replacing their boilers? Also, with the flue gas temperatures being as low as 55 degrees as with a condensing boiler, will the exsisting metal fluepipe shown in the video not corrode? I thought this was why newer condensing boilers had PVC pipes for the the flue. And, why is the device only suitable for oil boilers and not for gas ones?
