Sales for LON-NYC flights mid-September?

Hi there,
me and three friends are looking to fly to NY for 9 nights mid-September (looking at 14th-23rd Sep).
We can get flights for about £440 at the moment, but were hoping there might be a sale and to get the flights a bit cheaper?
All the sales and offers I've seen were for flights in the next few months, when do the sales usually come through that include September?
Am willing to wait, but worried that those times are not usually included in sales and that the 'normal' prices will just go up. Went to NY for £300 last year in April and know prices have gone up, but was hoping for something like £350-400. :-)

IMHO I think around £400 is a good price as taxes and fulel costs have increased since last year.
Airline "sales" tend to be about 3 months prior to travel so in July there may be some on offer
This is a good thread to ask NYC Q's0
