The Dutch way of baking with Lemon Zest and cinnamon sounds delicious. I am gonna look up their recipes.
Lemon Zest looks like a clever flavoursome addition.#TY[/B] Would be Qaulity MSE Challenge Queen.
Reading whatever books I want to the rescue!:money::beer[/B

I Love these guys, and they bring a new dimension to cookery programmes..
I totally hate cooks/chefs who are up their own backsides..
The Hairy bikers are down to earth and do honest proper food, not some little splat on a plate which wouldnt fill a fleaand you would need a mrtgage to pay for:rotfl:Work to live= not live to work0 -

I found last week's on-line and printed two of them off. Here's the link for 11 recipes *( http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/search?programmes[]=b01dl8gl ) I tried the rye bread exactly as given. DH said it was 'horrible' which is unusual for him, but it's just the caraway seeds he doesn't like. I made some more without and he liked it. I didn't mind the caraway, but it's better without I thought. I've printed off the biscuit recipe but haven't made them yet.

Loved last weeks one, nearly wet myself with the jacuzi bit and when they came out of the ice bar - brilliant.

I'm going to have a go at the potato bread - the recipe is on-line.
Is it just me, or did the Black Forest Gateau they had in the shop have a layer of pastry on the bottom?
I'm not sure I'd want to eat pretzels bathed in caustic soda
I'm really enjoying all the beautiful scenery in all the countries they've been to so far.0 -
Another good episode tonight. I though the Black Forest Gateau they had in the shop looked like it had a pastry base too. The Gateau they made in the Black Forest looked luvverly, I wouldn't have minded a slice :jYe cannae hing mince on a hook. :rotfl:0
