    I don't disagree with that, I was pointing out that a default or a CCJ only stay on your credit file for 6 years from when they originated - NOT when they were settled.
    There seems to be a lot of misunderstanding about this around and different sources give different information. What I've posted above is the most reliable information I could find - if you a better/different source please point me at it :).
