ok people, i have had a halifax direct reward ISA for this last year 2010-2011 and obviously its coming to a very abrupt end soon and dropping to 0.5% so i want to 're-new' it with halifax for the up coming year, can this be done online or do i need to phone them? if so how can i do it?

You need to contact them and let them do the transfer the funds to another ISA. Dont do it yourself.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

cool, thanks for this, but is it too soon to do it now, i want the full interest right up to 5th april?0 -
It depends when your rate falls to 0.5%. Mine was due to do so next week. My interest was added yesterday, but I won't lose out as the interest from now until 5 April will simply be added next year instead. If you have the 0.2% bonus things might be different though?0

yeh, i have to .2% bonus, so might just hang on til 5th, then i can be assured of the full amount.

But the current rates may not still be available on the 5th April?
If you're re-designating it then the account details don't change and your 0.2% remains valid. If you want to test the depth of the water .........don't use both feet !0 -

Been a day ahead of myself all day - I should have said that I used it on Sunday, and it was updated this morning when I checked. Sorry about that.0 -

Yes it was done when I logged on this morning. :T
I don't know why they don't have the link on the ISA homepage.0
