aye, ive just had another look at the pos fb. and the whole thing stinks to high heaven.

    lots of e-books at 1p.

yes you do really need to look at the vendors selling/buying history.
    Get some gorm.
  • As a daft cow who bid and won an auction from this seller, it is almost certain they are scammers.
I bid on the auction and they had 100% feedback, by the time the auction had finished they had loads of negatives. I tried to cancel my bid but was too late apparently.
I did some research on the seller and discovered the people living at the address to send payment to do not share the same name as the registered seller.

I have contacted Ebay, no way am I going to pay now, and they (supportive people that they are) tell me I have to get the seller to agree to a mutual cancellation of the sale or take an unpaying bidder strike !
    Mmmmm that's fair ....................................
  • I really hope no one actually sent them any money! :( Why haven't ebay NARU'ed them????

this model pram which currently retails at £599, this auction seems WAAAY to good to be true.

REMEMBER Seems too good to be true = probably is too good to be true.

The only real bargains on eBay these days are usually those where the items are discounted for a quick or forced sale, misdescribed with poor photos, or their real value is completely unknown by the seller.
Don't really like the payment option either.

Another warning sign - especially when you combined with a little detective work to uncover the sellers poor feedback, dubious buying/sales history and other danger signals (as spotted by earlier replies). Looks like they are being investigated - not by eBay, but by vigilantes and scam busters.

Well for a start, negative feedback has no effect except to warn off other buyers that are savvy enough to check it before buying. eBay routinely ignores negative feedback in deciding whether an ID is NARU'd or not.

eBay will only NARU them if they fail to pay their seller's fees or enough buyers complain about non-delivery. Only then will eBay NARU them - of course they will by then be selling anew under a fresh ID to a new crop of victims...

The only way of really stopping them with any degree of permanence is to get the police involved. They might be an organized criminal gang that specializes in this type of online auction scam. If so, they will continue to fleece victims until they are caught, prosecuted and convicted.
