I'm pregnant and looking to buy this model pram which currently retails at £599, this auction seems WAAAY to good to be true. Don't really like the payment option either.

Any opinions?

Check it out very carefully.

I had a quick look and most of the negatives are from one seller, who also accidentally negged (is that a word now? ) an innocent party. He/she has just opened that account to sabotage this sellers auctions.

It could all just be a mistakes or vindictiveness and this seller could actually be genuine. I didn’t spend enough time checking thoroughly enough to decide.

My advice is to avoid as it does look very dodgy.

I feel sorry for the seller if he/she is genuine as the account is well and truly screwed now.

Yeah I noticed most of the negs were from a 0 f/b account, maybe a disgruntled buyer?!?!? But the accepting only postal orders is a bit weird plus the seller keeps stressing how much they hate buyers that don't pay "we will get our FVF and give you a strike if you don't pay" etc. Also the "about me" thing with the page of the family & kids, it all seems a bit cynical to me.

I actually quite surprised the OP did not look at this seller more throughly in the first place. Feedback built up with 1p ebooks etc, no decent payment option and auction wreckers/ scam busters are on the case.

This however offers a good example to new users of ebay on what to look out for. One feedback also points you to this sellers previous incarnation:-
mizzmarveloussyou can the check out the person who gave a number of positive feedbacks: princessbambii. This is their next scamming account I would have thought.

So all you newbies please look throughly at this seller and follow the trails and clues left by the scam busters and the seller you will learn a lot from this example.

Wow! Thanks Hinza - I thought I was becoming a 'seasoned' Ebayer - I've just realised that I'm still very much a 'noob'.

At first sight I thought it was a hijacked account, then I looked for the points you mentioned - I didn't realised how easy it was to become 'respectable' on the surface.

queenyshome and princessbambi both registered on 23/10, mizzmarvellous and pipseyandsmudge registered on 24/10 and even lizandsue are a con - buying duvets at 17.30pm and receiving them by lunchtime the next day - I don't think so.

Thanks guys for all the money you may well save me in the future.
