Welcome Finance and PPI reclaim

We submitted an application to WFS through the FSCS claim pack for reclaim of PPI on a car loan.

Is anyone else having issues getting answers/correspondence regarding their claim.

I have a recorded delivery receipt that our claim was received on 29th December 2011. They wrote to me on that day saying that certain sections needed dating. I did this and returned the forms again which arrived with them on 4th January 2012.

I contacted them by email in early Feb to chase up the claim and the email reply stated that they needed another part of the claim form completed, i find this hard to believe as i completed all sections thoroughly. In order to ensure no further issues i asked them to send my forms back to me with details of all sections that they require completion of and i will return them.

To date i have had no further correspondence, no forms and am a bit stuck as to what to do.

I know i completed the form adequately, i was mis sold PPI in so many ways, all of which i detailed and i personally feel they are trying to stall.

Also, i fell into arrears on my loan and they sold the debt in December so if my PPI claim is eventually resolved who should the monies go to, i know if the debt was still with WFS it would go against the arrears but i dont want them claiming the money back and to be chased for it by the collection agency if it should go to them.

Sorry for rambling and thanks in advance for assistance.

    Hi

No your not on your own with this I have been waiting since the 2nd of december 2011 for Welcome Finance to sort out my claim, they stated that they are enquiring who is responsible to pay back the mis sold PPI to me, as the question E1 that I have completed may suggest that Welcome Finance are not responsible but the company that sold the PPI!!!!

Finally they have wrote to me yesterday stating that a pPi claim can take up to 8 weeks, and if I need further clarification I must contact them with my enquiry.

As for your debt being sold on, I really do not know where you would stand, ie if they pay the money to you or pay it to the loan outstanding.

    Hope this helps.

Aha, thats the section they are asking us about, luckily i kept the salesmans name, i have already given them this info, i've told them now that i answered all the questions on the form including all the E1's and that i want my forms sent back as they are stalling on payment.

Have told them if i dont have the forms back by Monday 19th that i will pass the whole file to FSCS, also copied FSCS in on the email.

Keep posting how you're getting on, this is obviously another scam by this bunch of retards!
  • Hi all not sure if right place to post as I am a newbie.

In Nov/Dec 2006 I was talked into signing up for a Life insurance with critical illness+unemployment with Synergy by my broker. This began in March 2007 and I am still paying about £90 a month. My questions are:
1: Does this fall under the PPI Reclaim scheme and

2:I have just been made redundant and they say I cannot claim until I sign on for 3mths before they can consider the claim.

Does this sound right? I bought the house with my then partner(now ex) who was sold the same plan and we have no dependants.

    Any advice welcome.

You need to post this here.
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=187

You will get more help, the 3 months will be correct as you may have had wages in lieu of notice, this is income and you can only claim on the ppi if you are in receipt of JSA.

If the guys on the thread i gave the link for say you do have a case for mis sell then post here
    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=169

And you will get help with making a claim.

    Hiyah

This E1 question seems to be doing its rounds, may I point out that I stupidly sent them original documents for the PPI and they told me they had returned them!! BIG FAT LIE!!!!

Not only have they had my claim for 13/14 weeks but now they are putting a further 8 weeks onto it!!!

Good luck with everything and hope you hear soon, I will keep you posted and hope you do likewise.

    Thanks for the reply.
