H&M sale Instore & online

H&M require a signature for the 1st delivery, did you not have a sorry you missed your delivery card?
I'm a Hermes courier and never expect the H&M customer to be at home(I know H&M have long delays)so I expect to leave a card and then customers contact to rearrange their delivery(although I know the customer can track their items).
I usually leave a card and expect contact, it doesn't always happen although today the response was if you can deliver before 8.30am or after 6.00pm would be fine!
I would expect to pay a premium for that service(and have done)I wonder if the delivery options are not fully explained to customers on the website.
The only time I've left 1 card and returned anyones item is if they're horrendous to deliver too via other companies and they either haven't contacted or demand a premium service.
Perhaps you are an unusual Hermes courier in that you actually bother to deliver your parcels?, lol!
I've had quite a bit of hassle with Hermes in the past not bothering and when I've chased up I've been told that delivery was attempted 2-3 times - no card left on any of the occasions (I'm in best part of the time at the mo as on maternity leave)
I think many peeps that order online work full time so staying in to recieve delivery of a new top isn't really an option and some couriers can't leave in a safe place so a catch 22 situ arises0 -

I don't think I'm an unusual courier galvanizersbaby, in my depot and it's one of the largest, the couriers are like me(we do have a few new couriers asking advice so inexperienced).
We often read the stories of no cards left but I've been told I haven't left cards and I definitely have.
I think sometimes customers tell fibs to try to stop their items being returned or not having to pay a 2nd delivery charge(not suggesting this is your case).
I think if you commit to ordering on line you need to ensure you are at home or you send to a friend, family member or workplace, if the company requires you are at the given address for your 1st order you need to be there or stop the order because you can't or don't feel it's worth it for a new top(this is not the couriers fault but often becomes the couriers problem).
I always read T&C's to see if it suits my lifestyle, I'm a peep that orders too.
When I order I check that catch 22 doesn't happen, I pay a premium delivery charge if that's necessary,
I have items sent elsewhere if it's a cheap super saver delivery service(I wouldn't dream of expecting a courier to do more than they're paid for, never would even before I was a courier).0 -
Looks like there have been more items added to the sale this morning. Unfortunately everything I like is sold out in my sizeFeb wins: Angry Birds mug, £250 Perfume Shop bundle0

You seem to be more conscientious than the Hermes couriers round here, if I'm not in it usually goes straight back to H&M, no card left. (Happened twice).
I have stopped ordering from H&M now. You never know when or if you are going to get what you ordered & as stated above the delivery system doesn't seem to work very well. Its all very random.
Shame though as there are some good offers - and they often don't match the online prices in store.0 -
Yes H & M take ages to deliver. I asked customer services about this and they told me all online deliveries are despatched from STOCKHOLM as they do not have a warehouse in the UK.
Call me impatient if you like but it's too long to wait.
They also won't let you deliver to another address so who knows if you will be home or not.0 -
No card left. I did get an email from H&M saying can you please contact us within the next 48 hours as we are having problems with our courier delivering your items.
I rang about 10 minutes after getting the e-mail and was told that the courier had already returned it to them!
Great system that is!Debt free since July 2013! Woo hoo! The bank actually laughed when I said I have come in to cancel my overdraft.0 -

lol! - I'm in the South East and you would be unusual here - many of the couriers employed by Hermes in my immediate area are just looking to earn a bit of extra cash on the side and some of them are less than honest (I know this because I unfortunately know somebody who used to do it and she used to brag about not delivering the parcels and saying she had and that they must have been stolen)
Not suggesting that this is the case with you of course.
I see what you saying about paying for a premium service (assumably this would ensure delivery out of office hours or would be a waste of time) but I guess people will always take the chance that they are in or that the courier will be able to leave in a safe place.
I know I have been in when the courier has supposedly attempted delivery and I know that cards have not been left - seems others have had similar experiences with Hennes - if only we lived in South Wales0 -
Sorry to hear so many people have been having issues with delivery. I have used H&M quiet a number of times and apart from taking 1 or 2 days more than usual shops to deliver items, i've had no problems with delivery. I guess i was just lucky?..0

I ordered some items on 2nd March and my order was partially dispatched on 5th March. My parcel arrived today and was delivered by Royal Mail.0

h and m delivery is so hit and miss
Ive ordered 3 times and and a few clothes in each purchase, they all came so very late, i was checking my post everyday and some were sent seperately, despite it saying despatched. I wanted to order more but it put me off and saved me money not buying0
